Taking the DSs to Florida in the summer (mainly based in Naples, a few days in Orlando). DS3 will be 2.5, and will need a buggy. At home we use a Mountain Buggy Urban, but I don't know whether to take this with us, or get something more compact. Pros of the mountain Buggy are (1) dream to push (2) plenty of storage (3) lies flat (4) has hood and sun shade (5) free as we already have it! Cons are (1) bulky which may be a problem in the hire car when it's full of luggage (2) pneumatic tyres so the risk of punctures.

Is it time to invest in a compact buggy? And if so, what should I get?

TIA!

That's what I thought. I've heard nothing but great stuff about the other OBaby buggies but for some reason they went wrong on the circles one.

I have an OBABY atlas if anyone want to take it, or I'll put it on freecycle soon.

It's easy to fold but to be honest it's not good for big toddlers.

yetanothernickname I might know someone who is interested. Is it the plain version or circles version and what colour? Is it suitable from birth though cos her little one was only born in January. Why is it no good for big toddlers? Is it heavy to push?

Im a big fan of the maclaren quest had mine for dd till she was 3.5yrs and just bought an additional shade attachment for holiday. You can get a 2nd hand quest on ebay for bout £40 and a shade bout £15 and you can just stick it back on ebay when you get back.

I'm a Mountain Buggy owner and really really miss it on holidays. Mine's a double so really is too big and heavy to take on a plane (well for me anyway - I've heard other people say they take it). But holiday time is just when you really need a pushchair that is very comfy, easy to push and can really load up.

So my personal opinion is that if you think you can bear the airport bit then I would take the MB.

Otherwise I would try and get hold of a cheap Baby Jogger City Mini on Ebay.
