DD is 19 months now and keen to walk a lot. My Maclaren XLR is great, but starting to seem a bit big, especially when we make it out for lunch or have to fold it on the bus. I'd like to get something smaller and easier to manage when it's folded. It needs to have a hood, basket, raincover and reclining seat (although doesn't have to recline flat, just back a bit so she doesn't sag forward during naps). Also needs to be light and easily foldable. And nice to push.

I'd really like a Maclaren Quest, but budget's fairly tight and I'd like to see change from £100 if possible (oh, I want it all!). Recommendations, please!

Apart from not having a hood, the basic one Tesco does lasted us for two children (combined 6.5 yrs) and although the exact same one isn't made now, they do a near identical one.
found this one - not like mine but same price and has a hood. They do separate cheap rain covers that are universal. Our's went to France twice and survived no end of trauma!

graco citisport is an underrated pushchair, easy to push with a large toddler in it, great basket for storage, easy to fold and freestanding.

Look at the M&P Pipi in Argos at the moment. £40, reclining (almost flat), small fold, hood, basket, raincover. Comes in nice bright design, pink or blue theme (but not awful baby blue/baby pink, but nice bright bold designs - the blue is similar to the picture, but the pink is brighter in real life)

Possible downsides - handles not adjustable. Barely any suspension (though not really an issue with toddlers) and the wheels can feel a bit cheap and plasticky, but it steers well. Nothing you wouldn't expect from an umbrella fold!

Great, thank you all. I think the Graco looks like it would be as big as our XLR, so maybe not an improvement.

lucie - I found this on Tesco: direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-8533.aspx, is that like yours? V cheap but it's not clear if the wheels swivel, and i don't know if it would be up to being the everyday pushchair (I still need to do quite a bit of walking with it). M&p also looks good an we do have an Argos nearby.
