micralite toro v cameleon (for newborn?)

Can anyone tell me how a micralite toro compares to a bugaboo cameleon?

I was thinking of getting a second hand cameleon for DS1 who's due soon, but the other day I saw a couple of micralite toro's being wheeled around and on and off buses and around supermarkets in london and thought maybe they would be a good alternative.

It's quite hard to find reviews of micralites though. Has anyone tried both? A new micralite would cost about the same as a second hand cameleon afaict, but not sure which would be better value? Any thoughts?

I love my toro.

All my friend's have bugaboos and are green with envy when I bring it out of my small car and unfold it in one smooth action while they are struggling fitting the seat on to the chassis after taking it out of the big cars they had to buy to fit it in!!

If you are going on a bus then a micralite will be much easier to fold as it is an umbrella fold rather than having to take the seat off the chassis to fold it.

Also the carrycot is really low down on the bugaboo which would give me a sore back.

I find my toro much easier to steer than the bugaboo as well.

Second hand resell value of the Bugaboo would be a lot better than the Micralite though.

I love my Toro. Haven't tried the Cameleon personally but like trixy I have lots of friends who have one. From what I can tell, upsides of Toro are: more manouvreable, much easier to fold/unfold (especially in pushchair mode but not really in pram mode), baby is higher up in the pram so you can get him/her in or out without bending so much, no need for car seat adaptors (not sure if you need these for Bugaboo but you do for some other models).
Downsides of Toro are: fewer accessories - I don't have a raincover for the pram bit so if it's pelting it down I use the car seat with a cover instead of the pram bit, the higher pram means it's a bit harder to see baby when you're on the move or sitting down especially when baby is v little, the front wheels are wider than the back wheels and I am constantly bashing into things as I forget how 'wide' I am!

I use my Toro on London buses all the time - in pram mode so not able to fold/unfold yet. I literally spent months researching buggies to make sure I got one that I could use on buses. I've had very few problems and would definitely recommend it.
