have a three wheeler for mucky trips ,but was looking for something more compact ,but rear facing for town ,theres one for sale locally for £120 ,what do you think ?

they arent anywhere near as compact as the original pliko, quite bulky and not that light either.

bumpsoon · 18/02/2010 18:41

thankyou faddle ,thought id been blackballed as no-one was answering my post ! Dont mind so much about it not being too light or compact ,been looking at the herbie too ,which is quite funky looking ,its the parent facing option i really wanted

or a gecko

totally agree bumpsoon, all the bugaboos are amazing round town (turn on a sixpence) and all parent face. excellent resale too.
Other good options are a streety (if you are under 5ft 6, loola is a good cheap option if you dont mind it being heavy.

bumpsoon · 18/02/2010 18:56

someone on here said the gecko was really low to the ground ? but wasnt sure if that was in pram or pushchair mode ? am definately erring to the gecko though

Having pushed both, I'd go with gecko every time.

carrielou2007 · 19/02/2010 22:34

Switch is only a bit heavier than pliko but every bit as difficult to push. (I've had two) RF much better than pliko but doubt you would be able to push a 10 month old! Good price as long as it's not empire.

I love bugaboo (love love love cams) but personally would not get gecko as they are VERY low to the ground, like a dolls pram. Apart from that fab buggy! Good resale though so if you get one and find this will easily sell and get your money back.

I hate the bee (I am selling mine!!) but everyone else seems to love them but price wise more than a gecko.

bumpsoon · 20/02/2010 10:15

whats wrong with empire ? Also with the gecko ,my baby is nearly three months so wouldnt be in the carrycot very long ,is the seat unit very close to the ground too ?

I only meant that 120 is not a good price for empire, they sell much cheaper.

You prob need to see a gecko in the flesh so to speak, the carrycots are big but it's the same unit that changes into the seat so yes when the seat it on an angle rathre than flat so to speak very low. I would say still be better off if you don't want a cam to get a frog, similar price wise but higher than gecko.

bumpsoon · 21/02/2010 14:30

have bought a frog

Fabbi, I would be very suprised if you don't love love love it!!!!!!!!

bumpsoon · 22/02/2010 14:53

need to cull my others though before my dh works out that will bring the total to 6

Know that feeling I have a denim cam for everyday walking, a pramette that lives in the car, a black xt for when ds needs a stroller, an apples quest as they were on sale, a streety and a bee that I'm selling. Ds is 4 weeks

WelliesAndPyjamas · 22/02/2010 21:14

been lurking the thread as I am going in circles trying to find the pushchair for the summer hols - rear facing whilst also collapsing small enough for an airline to be happy It's a tough one as I am looking for low-ish used prices too

anyone know if the bugaboo frog and gecko are small enough when folded down for an airline to put in the hold?

bumpsoon · 23/02/2010 07:29

ive got a pramette you could have for £40 if your baby is still small ,its boston check ,a nice charcoal colour , at £40 its pratically disosable !

WelliesAndPyjamas · 23/02/2010 10:55

bumpsoon · 23/02/2010 16:23
