Please advise: which pram to choose this time?

With my DS (now 3) we bought a M&P 3 wheeler travel system (my DH was convinced he was going to go jogging )
It was completely wrong for us... too heavy and I had to take both wheels off to fit it in the boot. I'm going to keep it for walking down our rustic (full of potholes after the snow!) roads, but want something different this time.

It needs to be:
Lightweight and not huge
Easy to steer
Easy to fold up and down
preferably facing me (although would be great if it could change)
Like the idea of a carrycot as I think they are more comfortable
and cheap!(although willing to buy second hand)
Has anyone got any recommendations?

would have said bugaboo bee but there are not rear facing!

Maclaren XT if you are happy to forgo rear facing.

Other than that how about a mama & papas pramette, buy one locally on ebay 2nd hand and once toddler age go for a maclaren quest.

Bugaboo Bee is rear facing but not cheap, other than price it meets all of your criteria.

I bought the Maclaren XLR with the soft carrycot attachment this weekend. It comes in at around £300 in total at Mothercare. I'm really happy with it - folds small enough to fit in the boot of my Peugeot 206 and to store easily in the hallway of our flat, it's light (7.5kg) and takes about 30 seconds to fold and about 5 seconds to put back up! With the carrycot attachment, you can have your baby facing you. All the photos on the Mothercare website show it with the hood still on the main pushchair, but you can easily take the hood of the pushchair so you can see baby more easily. Oh, and it comes with everything - raincover, shopping basket, seat/strap pads and head hugger.

This is for my first DC, so I don't really have anything to base it on except my SIL's Graco travel system which wa horrendously expensive and weighed a ton. It was actually her who recommended us getting a Maclaren!
