Is a Vibe really worth the extra money?

DS due when DD3 is 1.10yo so need another double, had a Sport last time and whilst things about it annoyed me it was the best double I have had. Now I don't know whether to get a Vibe or another Sport.

Apart from looks and this fold with double seat attached thing is there really that much of a difference to warrant another £200 nearly (good deals on Sports out there just now). It takes all of 2 mins to take the double seat off anyway. Have heard some poor reviews about the Vibe TBH

What about a Dash???

Also does anyone know if a M&P Primo Viaggio car seat will fit on a P&T or will I need a Maxi Cosi?

Am thinking about school/nursery run, usually done in the car but then I will need to get the pram out take DD3 and DS in and out IYSWIM so need something that folds and unfolds quickly.

I don't have one myself but have been looking into this. Most of the reviews I've read seem to suggest that it's not worth the extra money basically. It's marginally lighter but actually one mum I know said it actually felt heavier just because it's somehow clunkier. The only thing she said was useful was the hand break (rather than the foot pedal break. I don't think that and the folding thing are worth the extra money personally.

Don't know anything about the Dash I'm afraid.

Good luck

I have just ordered the dash today after looking at the vibe and already owning a sport.

I also didn't like the vibe and had heard from many people that they break a lot, the brake was hard to use and it was almost impossible to fit the 2nd toddler seat. The sales woman couldn't even do it when we looked at one which put me off!. It also really scratched the frame because it was Aluminium.

I loved my sport and the design of it but the things that bothered me was that we couldn't use our brake at all with the 2nd toddler seat as it was so stiff and in such an awkward position. Also the main seat zip had broken on 2 seat units and the front rubber cap on the wheel always gets lost. I know these things are tiny but I like my prams to always looking sparkly and new!.

The dash has the break on the handle but it is different to the vibe in that the break is on when the handle is in the most downward position. The fold is from the handle rather than the middle so less bending is required after my C-section, and they have improved the zips on the seat units so they don't have the stupid phil and teds sign that snaps. They have also replaced the material footwell with a plastic one thus removing the plastic cap on the front wheel. It also comes with seat liners that just make it a bit more padded. Other than that it is the same as the sport and is the same in size and weight.

Hope this helps

sorry to be frank BUT folding with the doubles seat on is a piece of piss!!! everywhere i look everyone sayes sales person couldnt do it, then how come me, dp and the grandparents can effortlessly???

it takes about 1 second more to do it! and the vibes normal fold without the seat is far easier and safer for the fingers than the sport.

Not heavier at all, we had a sport on loan from a friend and it doesnt move like the vibe.

The double seat is much cosier for a wee one, and it has the benefit of different heights when on the front so a toddler isnt crammed under the hood.

The break is so easy to use, i couldnt do the sport one with the seat at the back, although i had it in the summer with flip flops

Also imo, and from how it looks the baby has more room when in the cocoon under a toddler

I love my vibe!

i haven't owned either but I tried my toddler in both in mothercare and he seemed to fit better in the Vibe doubles seat - is it marginally taller?? He was too tall for sport doubles seat when in recline.

Oh, and when I walked with big paces around mothercare i kept kicking the double seat on the Sport but not the vibe (could be just me though).
