Hi All

Thankyou for taking the tme to read my post.
We are going skiing middle of Feb and would like to get a different pushchair.
Our youngest will have just turned 1 and does have naps in the pushchair wo a recline would be helpful, also fancy a 3 wheeler!, raincover etc, not too worried about buggy snuggle etc as i can make them.
oh and one that will protect them from the elements a bit!
At mo im using the new version britex vigour 3+ which i love just dont want to take it on the plane in case it gets trashed!
do also have a micralite, babaydan and a double maclaren which has all accessories.
I may be thinking of doing a swap with the babydan or the double maclaren....
any ideas??
what do you lovely ladies think?
love
Tracey (Alias Babydrip!)

where are you going?

you are going to need a serious all-terrain one to cope with the snow - the vigour wouldn't cut it.

tbh as I remember most people just use sledges for transporting little ones and then take them home to nap, or see if you could hire a decent all-terrain one in resort

and yes sell any that you don't need

not a pushchair expert lol.

we have used chariot carriers products in the mountains. you can even get sleds for them and a harness for you if you fancy it.

otherwise skiers generally make do with any three wheeler with large wheel circ (easier on snow) or various actual sledges (some resorts have them to rent - in austria we rented a fab one with a proper seat/ harness system). we always use chariot in canada but tend to use sledge or whatever's avail in europe.

Hi
Thankyou both
We Have an apartment in Bansko in Bulgaria, have been a couple of times but this is the first time in our apartment.
Have taken the Babydan and the micralite before but that was with our older child as didnt have the baby then
I havent seen any rental places before but will investigate on the internet.
The britax coped very well in the snow here but obv dont want to take it to get battered on the plane.
Really thought id have a look at a cheap second hand sturdy 3 wheeler (with swivel wheel - cant stand fixed!) then dont mind it getting battered! iyswim
so i was wondering which ones you would recommend?
thankyou

wouldn't recommend swivel wheel in snow at all tbh, but i guess it's personal choice.
iirc the sledge hire is sometimes done through ski rental outlets - i think it was in austria anyway...

We have just had snow and I used my baby jogger city mini with no proplem at all. Found that fixing my front wheel made it much easier to push. Not got to go ski ing yet but generally found ski resorts are far better maintained than our pavements so think this might be an option.

I agree you need to be able to fix the wheel for snow. Have you checked you can't hire one there or a toboogan with child seat ?
