Right ,basically ive just had my last baby and am hankering after a phil and teds single pushchair . I know they are expensive but they seem to hold their value quite well for resale . Can you remove the covers for washing ? will be doing lots of off road walking with it . Are they any good ? what are they like for a newborn ? or should i wait for six months ?

I bought one last week!
A black sport.
£100 off on Mothercare website.
So far I love it.
Havenn't tried to fold it yet or wash it.
The basket isn't huge (for dc's school bags..)

just read some of the reviews on the mothercare site and they arnt very positive .mind you i would only be using it as a single and most of the negative comments are with regards a newborn and toddler .

No don't do it! They are rubbish as a single pushchair, other three wheelers are much better and much lighter. Try a Nipper 360 or Mountain buggy.

thanks for that daisypod , i think i will look at other options

Madness, absolute madness. I lost my rag with mine after the fifth puncture in 11 months. I put it on eBay. If you get one, buy good quality inner tubes and launch the cheapos it'll come with. I should have done that, sort of miss my p&t but then reality hits and I remember the anxiety of leaving the house without a puncture repair kit!

p & t shite, we have one and i hate it, can't recline maon seat as the zips have snapped!!!, wheels puncture really easily, can't fathom out taking off the man cloth part to clean it, the hoops securing the hood when you pull the hod out have torn the fabric of the hood because you have to stretch them so much... absolutely useless.

Don't do it. I have the double buggy and have had no end of trouble with the wheels, punctures etc.
I have gone through 3 different double buggies over 10 years of (5) kids, chicco and gracco and finally Phil and Teds. Would never bother with P and T again, not worth the hype. I never got a broken wheel with the others whereas nothing but bother with the Phil and Ted.
