Which Maclaren should I get....??

I've never had a Maclaren before and (minus the baby finger incidents!!)I understand them to be a really reliable sound buggy so I am thinking of getting one.

My friend is selling a Cath Kidston red spot one, which is my all time favourite!! But I have a boy and I am not sure if it is just a bit too girly...

Then theres the 4 seasons which someone is selling and I should have first dibs on

or

Maclaren Quest Mod (green) in the sale at the mo....

argh! What a to do! Can't decide!!!

Can anyone help/advise or just give their opinion??

Thanks
Kat

We have a Maclaren Techno XT (yes, the finger eater) and it works really well.

It's nice and light and folds pretty flat. The finger protectors where pretty simple to install. The only downside was the boring shade of grey.

I'd go for the one you want and meets your needs and the best price.

The red-spot one doesn't look bad and not really girly - I mean Ferrari's are red (if there was ever a testosterone filled car, that's one)

Having seen the CK one in real life it is a bit girly even for my boys!!

Depends what you want it for age of child etc?

I like quest as it is light to push, folds easily and compactly great for public transport or slinging in car.

Xt/XLR have more features such as lie flat recline, tilting hood.

4Seasons is a ryder frame so inbetween a quest and an xt nice acc's but i just didn't like the tan colour so didn't keep mine.

Can I chip in with a request for advice too?

I am tempted by the Maclaren Triumph - how does that compare with a Quest? I seem to remember borrowing a Triumph at Dubai airport - but now I am nervous because the one I saw in a store yesterday seem much less sturdy than I remember. Maybe it had just been bashed about a bit by lots of customers trying it out?

Quests probably represent the best features of the brand tbh.

Extendable leg rest, usually bit more comfy than the Triumph, same size as triumph more or less and carry strap on newer models, lies back a bit further tha a triumph, not as heavy as the XT, suitable from 3 months as it doesn't lie as flat as the XT, but flatter than the Triumph.

XT is good if you are tall. Extendable handles.

I'm on my second XT - sold my grey one when they brought out the black and silver this year and I love it to bits. It does everything I could possibly want.

I have a Volo and use it most days. It does everything I need it to do (doesn't recline, but DS doesn't nap any more so that doesn't matter to me).

Tis the cheapest one.
