Quinny Zapp.. Is it worth it? Is it practical?

I am considering buying the quinny Zapp, mainly due because my boot is very small and I like the idea of a seperate car seat.

Is it worth the price though? i also not keen on the fact that it doesn't recline.

I've always bought the cheapest gracos but after my last two 3 in 1s malfuntioning I have seriously been put of them..and they are just so bulky

I had one for my DD. I loved the actual Zapp, really small and light weight and it manoeuvred really well. DD didn't go into the seat until she was 7mo, she was just too small and she was uncomfortable before then. When she got to that age the lack of recline wasn't an issue for her, might be for other babies though.

It's a great pushchair for older babies but crap for younger IMO. They're not supposed to be in car seats for too long so it was hardly used in the beginning.

The petite star zia reclines so may be worth looking at...I want one myself!

Zapp is fantastic for 1 year plus, and the lack of reclining doesn't seem to bother them at that age. I wouldn't use it younger than that (as a buggy, that is; I've not tried it with the carseat for a newborn)

Got one of these for DS when he was just under 6 months, as we also have a tiny car boot. I love the fact it goes so small and is so lightweight, but it really does tip up easily so beware! (DS seems to find it funny when he suddenly goes upside down though..!)

I was cross that you need to buy the basket seperately 'cos I felt for that price it should be included. I also struggle with unfolding and it doesn't seem to lock in place when folded up, so when you lift it up to put it in the car it unfolds again sometimes - usually in the rain / when you are in a hurry! I don't find the lack of recline a problem, he seems to fall asleep quite easily and seems comfy.

Overall I'm glad I got it, but only because it goes so small. I use a sling too, but if I only used a pushchair and for long periods, I would look for something more sturdy and better for country walks. Not tried it with the carseat so can't comment - but personally I wouldn't use this one from birth, I would get one that goes completely flat. (or borrow your sister's one with a carrycot for the first months, like I did!)

I got a Quinny Freestyle when ds was a baby - big three wheeler. Not sure if they do it any more but I think the Quinny Buzz is similar. Folds surprisingly small because the wheels come off easily. I have a MX5 sports car with a tiny boot and it fitted in there and you can fit the car seat on to it.

I got a Quinny Zapp when they came out but thought it was very unstable. Ok for doing the local high street but other than that pretty useless and it doesn't recline. About two small bags of shopping was enough to tip it over.

i have a cheap zia for sale £30 on fs board similar but reclines- perfect!

Thank you all very much for your replies, its helped me make up my mind I think. I'm not going to go for the Zapp, we went to toysrus today and looked at it and although it was really easy to manouvre the lack of recliner and basket would drive me nuts.

Really liked the petit star though. does it tip easy with a few shopping bags attached to it though, also wish it could have an attachable carseat.
