How many pushchairs have you got?

There doesn't seem to be a product that fits every scenario single handedly (town/beach/country/shopping/baby facing mum/durable/lightweight/fits in car boot) etc.
So how many pushchairs do you have - and what are they best used for?

I don't think I could cope without at least 3 - one for walking, one for the car, one for the bus.

I have one - a BJCM and it's brilliant - they best one I've had. Smooth to push, huge hood, easy to fold and chuck in the car yet sturdy enough for the odd occasion when 3 yo DS1 jumps in. No good with a buggy board though, that's it's only fault.

I started off with a second hand Graco travel system for DS1 - horrid thing, awkward to fold and gave a bone shaking ride.

Then I bought a Babies R Us own brand stroller. It was ok, but then I got a P&T Sport when DS2 arrived. It was heavy and awkward to fold but a dream to push and converted me to 3 wheelers.

Sold it when Ds1 walked everywhere, nad my old stroller felt horrible to push after the P&T, so I bought the BJCM - a £65 Argos bargain.

Should have bought it 3 years ago and saved myself a lot of hassle!

Bugaboo cam ready for new baby (we walk miles and miles and miles) with buggy board for dd.

Pliko switch to live in car as I like having rear facing for at least first year. Pliko selling as bought pliko switch insted.

Zapp frame and adaptors to sling in car and plonk maxi cosi seat on for very very short trips/late playgroup dashes.

Maclaren XT I still use for dd but will pack away very soon when new baby arrives until he/she is approx a year, use for car/holidays.

Big 3 wheeler for running/beach (we live by seaside) lives in garage as too big to fit easily in house.

Use 2 at a time really, one for walking, one for the car.

We have bugaboo chameleon which has proved fab, carry cot, pushchair off roading, city mode etc. very versatile and turns on a pin. But...had to get a stroller as we found it too much when you are jumping in and out of the car say looking at cars at car showrooms or different shops at different retail parks so we have an O'Baby sport stroller.

Cham lives in my boot, O'baby lives in DH's.

3 (ish) 6 by some calculations

Silver cross 3d - error - baby outgrew pram in weeks and was too small for pushchair (left at parents and lent out to anyone who wants to borrow it!)

Hauck Infinity - Love it to bits. Used for both girls lovely big carry cot! Currently on loan to friend!

Maclaren Techno - our favourite. Now in daily use with buggy board.

Maclaren Twin Techno - just outgrown but has been invaluable for our 18 month gap

Jane Twin Two - bought on ebay and now sold on but was lovely for my DD2 Christmas baby - she was so snug in her carry cot and I loved looking at her as we staggered around the streets through January and Feb. Used til she was 5 months

(we also had a 2nd hand Twin Rally that fell apart!)

Jojay - here is the answer to your buggyboard problem:
babyjogger jump seat
It hasn't yet passed UK safety standards and is not available to buy within the UK - so the only way to get it is to import it yourself.. there is a canopy to go over it also - so you would be able to use a universal tandem raincover (ebay!)....
I would suggest putting the smallest child (if over 6m) in the jump seat - and the larger child in the rear seat.
It will only work on 2008+ models!
You got a bargain from argos at £65 for your BJCM!

I am down to 2 pushchairs only now - my main one for everyday use is the babyjogger city elite - off ebay for good price - I LOVE this one for the long walk to school and back - but I have to have something smaller to put in the car or for on the bus/train - so my 2nd buggy is a micralite ff.

I would use the bjce for everything if I could - it's the best pushchair/pram I've ever ever owned....(and I've had a few!)....

CDA - that looks pretty cool doesn't it?! Ds1 is now 3 and loves his scooter, so not really an issue now, but i could have done with it a few momths ago...........!

And yes, I did get a bargain didn't I? It was a complete fluke - I'd never heard of BJCM until I saw it reduced on the Argos website and luckily for me my local store had one left. Now I see I could sell it second hand on Ebay for more than that!! ( if I don't run it into the ground first )

I'm down to three pushchairs, a phil and teds sport double in pink, a pink century side by side buggy and a silvercross linear freeway.

One P&T Sport that lives in shed, for walking round countryside, village and locally.

One Cossatto umbrella fold that lives in car boot, as car boot too small for P&T without a lot of effort and very precise positioning. Used for car trip shopping, and town park vists after.

One second hand (formerly neighbour's) elderly Maclaren Pulse, at my mum's house, which is nearly 300 miles away. Obviosuly used at Granny's so we don;t have to take even more stuff with us on the hellish trip down there.

DS's favorite way to travel - by backpack.
