Pushchairs
can anyone suggest good pushchairs for TALL mums?

I'm looking for a pushchair which doesn't make me stoop in a hunchback of notre dame manner, or have to take teeny tiny steps to prevent my feet bashing into the back of the buggy or the wheels.
I have a Maclaren Techno XLR at the mo, but could do with something just a few cms longer in handle height. Have tried a Bugaboo Cameleon and iCandy Apple - both are great but a bit pricey. I've got a budget of about £250. I'd prefer something that is rear facing if poss.
Any other long legged parents out there with suggestions? I'm 5 ft 11 which I don't think is freakishly tall (is it?!?), but feel that way every time I try to test drive pushchairs in a shop!!

our teutonia has a high handle, dp uses it with no problem and he's over 6ft! our is rear facing and much better than the techno we have for travelling.

We have a Quinny Buzz, which you can now get for about £250 I think.
DH is 6'3 & is fine with it - it has an adjustable handle. It can be rear or forward facing

Oooh replies already! Damn, Mumsnet is GOOD! I've tried a friend's quinny buzz but didn't really get on with it, but thanks for your suggestions Springy. Never heard of a Tuetonia though, Nicm. Am intrigued - what is it and where do you get it? For some reason I imagine something steered by a woman in a breast-plate and long flowing hair like Boadiccea (spelling?)...

I am 5 10 and have a Maclaren Techno XT as the handles pull out and also a Jane Powertrack which is fab.
There's a Teutonia on ebay if you have a look..

i found the XLR v.tall handled was no good for me as im a shorty so not sure what else to suggest which has a higher handle height than that?

We had a Mutsy Urban rider that was very comfortable for me (5'10) and Dh (6'3 and walks oddly due to knee issues). It forward and rear faces

ours is a spirit s3 and we got it from ping pong online in germany, though the euro was much better then. would def recommend, still use ours daily after 16 months and only use the techno if we really have to(travelling). dp doesn't like the techno as much as he kicks the back and has to stoop slightly. i don't have this problem though but the handle adjusts to a low height too!!

Worth every penny of £250 (maybe a bit more...) to get a secondhand bugaboo cameleon from ebay (or mn!) IMO. DP is 6'4" and he loves it too.
I got mine from ebay in bits and assembled it myself, saving money; if you put new covers on they look brand new.
Do it. You won't regret it. Unless you have a small car. Then you might. A bit. Do it anyway!

Bit over your budget but I highly recommend the Mountain Buggy Urban! The new models have adjustable handles that would suit the very tall. I've had several pushchairs and this is my absolute favourite!
Wouldn't recommend the Cameleon. It's a highly overrated pushchair and although the handle extends to a very high position it can be difficult to push when fully extended.

I was going to say the Buzz as well, I am just a smidge under 6' and husband is 6'4" and we both find it tall enough. I also have a second-hand Zapp which is fine for me (just) but way too short for him.
The Which website lets you search their database of pushchairs for all those with adjustable heights (as well as by price, weight etc). You might have to be a member though, not sure how much that costs.

We have the Baby Jogger City Mini and the handles don't adjust but I find they are quite a good level, although I'm not as tall as you (5'8").

I would defo invest in the Bugaboo Cam or Bee, I am 6''1 and had the same issues with bumping knees etc.
I brought my Bee on ebay For £260 and was fortunate enough to buy the cam new. Although you can buy a perfectly good cam from ebay too for good prices, if i didnt love mine so much id sell to you Both have served me and hubby well

I am 5'10" and our Quinny Speedi is a great eight, the handle length is adjustable so it's great if you are taller and if your stride is longer.
It is bulkier than the Buzz though.

Loola Up has adjustable handle height, and rearward facing. I'd recommend it!

We love the Quinny Buzz and the Maclaren Techno XT.
There are some real bargains going on ebay for Teutonia buggies...
