Under £150 lightweight, compact stroller - recommendations other than Mac!

Everyone has there own set of criteria and the answer is nearly always a Mac! I want to be different though. No offense to Mac owners intended

So the challenge is must be light, compact fold, lie flatish, under £150, okay for country walks, and stylish lol!

Your thoughts are eagerly awaited!

Hello,

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing out strollers and buggies. Read our buggy reviews for a list of the best lightweight strollers around.

Hope that helps!

There was a chico multiway on ebay for about £50 - an argos sale one - seemed to be argos selling via ebay some overstock / sale stuff! (it didn't have the cozy toes though - but you might not want or need that bit if it's for an older child... I was very tempted)!

missup i know what you meab about the mac...

need something similar to fling in car. was thinking about petite star zia but have read some bad reviews. also not sure about mircalite fastfold as recline looks a bit crap so was looking at the toro? anybody seen one?

missusp · 19/08/2009 13:11

Have now tried out a petite star zia! Seems ok but swivel wheel wasn't very swivvely iykwim! and the handles seem low to me and i'm not tall. Have ruled it out.
Just can't seem to make a decision! And i have money burning a hole in my pocket
Got to get on with it tho so am going to see some chiccos in a shop as these seem to be pretty good although not exactly trendy are they.
May end up surfing ebay at this rate!
Thanks to all for suggestions.

oh one more thing...
the basket on the petite zia is rubbish - struggled to get anything in or out when the seat was upright but impossible when it was reclined!

I have a Hauck buggy (you can find them in the Argos catalogue) for under £150. Think I paid £60 for mine and it's still in one piece 2.5 years later! It does lie flat, think there are a few different positions.

Definitly the BJCM.

Boots have the black on offer at the minute for £158.55 and if your a boots parenting club member you can use the code FDPF73 for and extra 10% off as well.

Plus you get 1264 advantage card points!

Not sure if they have any in stock but you could always keep checking the website to see when they have them in.

Before we got the Mac and P&T we had an umbrella fold Hauck buggy, it was really good; had a nicely padded reclining seat and bigger wheels, and also a decent size shopping basket.

I have a Zia, I use it for the odd trip where I need my boot space. I bought a reconditioned one because I knew i wouldn't use as much as my other pushchair.

If you want one go to this site. £60 for a reconditioned or £100 new with footmuff and Free P&P

For my walks I have a vigour 3 its fantastic but quite large even folded - I won't even go there with regards to my double troubles ;-)
