mumofdjandbabies · 10/08/2009 15:46

after bexie may I get in the queue pretty please

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 15:52

Its here, it is bnib! plastic still closed and never been used! I am impressed! Not sureI want it though . Colour is lovely though.

Mumo, you can be next in queue.
Bexie, it has the car seat adaptors in it (so good for newborn)

Will take DS3 out in it tomorrow (I think) and will see what I think of it. The handle do seem higher!

maxybrown · 10/08/2009 16:14

If anyone on here ends up coming across anyone with a silver cross pushchair/pram on linear chassis for sale can you point them in my direction please? Only looking around the £50 mark ish though, less is better Thought the more people who know the better!!

Thanking you all!

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 16:16

Oo Maxi, those are lovely, hope you find one. I bought one for DS3 when pregnant, but didn't like the material so sold it to someone. I only paid £200 from kiddicare as well, it was a total bargain.

maxybrown · 10/08/2009 16:20

Yes have had one before 5in and wished I'd kept it now. I want a RF for winter and I KNOW that it has plenty of room in it for DS.
Fed up of keep trying others and he ends up all squished I have just noticed that the woman who bought mine is selling it again but wants more than I want to pay....wondering if I should email her and give it a try lol!

BexieID · 10/08/2009 16:24

5in, how much was it? Don't have a Maxi-Cosi infant car seat though. Just my Graco one with autobase from the travel system. Does it say what weight they are suitable upto? Can't seem to find out! No good getting it if it's only upto 15kg as Toms a heavy bugger, lol.

PIL got the grey/orange BJCM for £135 inc raincover.

Nicola, did you find out post on the mobile?

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 16:35

I paid £71 for Zapp and £7 for a basket, so £85 delivered?

I only goes up to 15kg though. If I were you, I'd get the BJCM from PIL's. My 4 year old fitted into mine with room left over.

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 16:35

Maxi, go for it!

carrielou2007 · 10/08/2009 17:02

Hi all, been to indoor play barn which was packed as it was raining. Every single chair filled so had to sit on the floor for 3 hours whilst dd played but not good for my back or my bump! Dd shattered so hoping for a quiet tea, bath and bed prob for both of us!!

Maxy, I'm so sorry about the SC, I watched a few local to me on ebay and one went for 38!!! I would email her, if you don't ask you don't know? I did sell mine back on ebay and it went in a day!

Bexie can I tempt you with a cheap maxi cosi for the zapp??

Mumofdj just spotted your thread, yes I have got the zapp footmuff, washed and packed away somewehre so just need to locate it...

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 17:06

Carrie I would have asked some more capablet person for their seat! I can't believe the ignorance of some people when it comes to pregnant women.

Zapp all folded back down and hidden from DH lol.

BexieID · 10/08/2009 17:09

BJCM is quite wide though, wanted a super small Zappy like fold, lol. So dibs passes to mumofdj!

carrie, wouldn't use car seat for Zapp as wanted it for Tom.

carrielou2007 · 10/08/2009 17:18

I'm only 19 weeks though so still at the just look fat stage though I do think I'm starting to look a bit bumpy now under my watermelons

Bexie how are you feeling, have you had your next scan? Mine's next week and hoping to find out the sex if all is well. Do I keep looking for a cheapy zapp frame and adaptors to plonk the car seat on.

pebbles79 · 10/08/2009 17:28

Bexie, I posted on your wanted thread that I've got a Lascal Maxi buggyboard for sale if you want it?

OP posts:
mumofdjandbabies · 10/08/2009 17:50

5inthe bed I so fancy trying that zapp!!!! but it doesnt recline so I better not as it will be for the car and for ds to sleep in occasionally

I am presuming a zapp is VERY uncomfy for sleeping in?

horsemadgal · 10/08/2009 17:57

Zapp ok from 18 months (ish)!!
Any younger I'd like recline. Fab buggies though, miss mine.

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 18:02

Carrie. I looked pregnant from about 8 weeks with ds3

There is a BN frame on Ebay for £70, you may as well buy mine lol.

Mumo, depends on your child really. DS2 had one (well two actually) and didn't have a problem sleeping in it.

I only intend on using it for the school run in the morning, so no hope of DS3 falling asleep in it.

mumofdjandbabies · 10/08/2009 18:31

ah right!

I still look pregnant

guys what do you think this is worth nicola mentioned its a good all rounder buggy, its near me so I could collect x

mumofdjandbabies · 10/08/2009 18:42

can anyone tell me too if I bought the wee foam buzz 3 insert would it fit on an older buzz 3 seat unit or is the new foam one a totally diff style of seat unit? does anyone know?

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 19:06

That Quest looks similar to the one I had for DS1 five years ago. Those ones had the bigger wheels back then. I'd pay no more than £20 for it, if that! The back wheels look a bit worn though.

By older buzz, do you meant the ones that had the flower by the logo? I think they are bigger seat units.

maxybrown · 10/08/2009 19:08

It's ok Carrielou. We came back AFTER yours sold on ebay so wouldn't have been able to collect it anyway

Sometimes they go for a bit and sometimes not that much. I bought one once before though and the bar above the brakes had completely come away from the chassis but it was hidden. I reckon they used it as a buggy board. They claimed they hadn't and din't know about it and got my money back no problem, but am worried in getting a random one in case it is same I think I will email buyer of my old one and see what she says.

reallywoundup · 10/08/2009 19:17

dis- did the cam arrive with thereisalight?

JigglyPiggy · 10/08/2009 19:22

evening all

oh dis im sorry you are getting the run around with ebay auction now. you would think it would be nice and quick with it being BIN.

MAXI - I have bought another bebe confort! (not sure anyone else appreciates them) but how else am i going to try out a rear facing 3 wheeler?

5inthebed - zapp sounds good. it was from babyvalue was'nt it? was it sold as BN?

I am now on the hunt for a cheap pushchair for my sisiter. possibly a zia unless there are any better suggestions? Her DC is 1 so a bit of a recline would help but it can't be a typical umbrella fold as I had a fight with her chicco getting it in the car today! any suggestions?

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 19:30

Jiggly, zapp was advertised as used with wear to the wheels. Box hadn't even been opened!

Going to take it out for a test drive tomorrow, see how we get on.

The only lightweight pram that has a recline and is easy to fold is the bjcm, although not to cheap. Zia's are ok, but rattly. If it's just occassional use, then get it.

mumofdjandbabies · 10/08/2009 19:34

ah thanks

whats a Micralite Toro Buggy like?

5inthebed · 10/08/2009 19:41

I love micralites, they are great prams. Takes a bit of getting used to though as the wheels are wider in the front as opposed to the back. Never had a toro, but had a few fastfolds.
