Pushchair recommendations for a very tall toddler nearing age three

Hi 👋

does anyone have recommendations for a pushchair for a really tall toddler? Almost 3 but absolutely refuses to hold my hand and I have other dc who need my attention to keep safe. I don’t want a Sen buggy but may have no options. Feet drag in traditional cosatto buggy type. Which is a shame as I love a good print :(

My 6yo still fits in our Silver Cross Pop (now only used for Disneyland/ Disney World trips!) So we've had good mileage out of it 😂

I will be definitely investigating this then, sounds like the mileage I’m after 😂 thank you!

Very tall dd1 had loads of space in her upper baby vista. The seat is very high off the floor

Have you thought about using reins?
You can't just avoid the problem of them refusing to walk safely, at 3yo they cant 'refuse' to hold your hand you just grab it and hold on tight, or grab their wrist instead. Which they probably wont like so then you point out you would not have to hold their wrist if they would hold your hand nicely.

Don't assume they will 'grow out' of behaviour like this, if you don't nip it in the bud they arent learning that you are in charge and you'll have bigger problems later down the line when they 'refuse' to do other bigger stuff like going to school.

Silver cross pop was great for my tall DS too, he's almost 4 but used it a few months ago when poorly and still fit fine. The backrest is very generous, 3 different strap heights if i remember rightly.

She sits on the floor in reins and headbutts the floor. I have another child that has a handling belt. Like grown up reins.
My toddler is showing signs of strong Sen also, so I’m guessing I’ll need the maclaren major for her, I just want a buggy that doesn’t scream Sen until necessary. I still need to hold his belt if we’re out together. Toddler needs to be in pram for me to manage that.

I’ve always found the Baby jogger city mini/gt have the biggest seats and weight limit. I still have the gt for my just turned 6 year old and he fits fine, he does have special needs but I prefer it to the special needs buggies as it has a massive hood he can hide behind.

Thanks all! Much appreciated 💕

DD was quite lazy at that age and used to hop into her brother’s YoYo whenever he was walking until about age 7 🤣 She fit quite comfortably and it was light/small fold so potentially quite handy for a 3YO that won’t always be in it.
