Travel system recommendations for a parent with a disability

Hi all, I’m expecting our baby. I am only 12 weeks but I have quite more complex needs than other parents so starting the pram hunt early.

background info-

  • I have EDS so my fingers & knees dislocate quite a bit so I ideally need something with a one hand fold that requires minimal bending.
  • my DH is also taking off 8 months paternity to help too. 90% of the time he will be going out with me & will set up the pram. It’s just the odd occasion when I need to get out alone I’ll have to set up the system.
  • i want a travel system where I don’t have to fiddle about using adapters each time to attach car seats etc.
  • I also want an easy clasp to self adjust.
  • budget is up to £2K for a full travel system.

prams we’ve been considering

  • Cybex Priam
  • Silver cross reef 2
  • Silvercross cove.

Has anyone got any opinions on these or have any others I should consider?

brand wise I have absolutely no care for so feel free to pass on any suggestions. My main thing is for the car seat in the travel system to have a good review too.

thank you

Attaching car seats to the travel system is harder than keeping the car seat in the car and having a dedicated pram. I found the clips and one hand systems hard to manage - I didn’t know about Eds when I had my dc but have since been diagnosed. My knowledge is out of date on brands / models but I would advise checking the weights too if you ever need to lift it. I switched to a basic cheap buggy quickly as i could manage it better
