Bugaboo Butterfly - Can it cope with more than a 'city stroll'?

I'm looking at getting the Bugaboo Butterfly stroller for my baby (age 11 months).

Online is giving me conflicting views. I want to know if it can cope with "rough terrain". By this, I mean country paths, bumpy walkways ect. Obviously not a field or anything properly off-road! But more than a city stroll.

If anyone has any advice that would be great or if anyone could recommend a stroller that would do this, then that would be great too. It also has to be light, have good sun coverage and be easy to fold and put in the boot.

I have one for my 2 year old. It’s pretty capable in our local village which has more holes in than not.

It does jolt to a standstill if it comes across a dip or small ledge (it doesn’t like the small lip on dropkerbs for example) because the wheels are so small and solid and you need to be conscious of it tipping left and right on uneven ground as it’s so light but you get used to handling it.

On the whole I really recommend it. Put it this way, I had an egg2, we took our son on holiday with the bugaboo at 10 months and the egg was never used again. Bugaboo became our everyday stroller. The sun canopy is really good as well and the basket underneath is more generous than most.

I sold mine today, DD is 3.5 and refuses a buggy point blank - our bugaboo days have gone.

i had a bit of a sad moment saying goodbye to the butterfly, its frigging awesome and we’ve had some real adventures with it! 100% recommend.

(we live relatively rurally too. It loves a town, but manages a bootfair in a field no problem)
