Good all rounder? Cybex ezy s twist+2

Hello,

My little girl is 7 months old, she's on the bigger side (in 12-18 month clothes already!

We're searching for the perfect all rounder pram. It needs to be able to be parent and front facing, decent size wheels that are capable of going on off road trails and compact enough to fit in the car/on a plane as we'd like to use it for a travel pram. We are based in the UK.

Has anyone used this Cybex ezy s twist+2 pram? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

We have a running pram which does all of the above apart from the parent facing part. She's being quite fussy at the moment and only relaxed when she is facing us.

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

I have this pushchair and it is my all time favourite (and I’ve had a fair few over 4 kids/14 years of pushchairs!).

The only thing in your list that would concern me is “off road trails”. Dirt paths round the woods in a NT property would be fine; tractor tracks across the fields would absolutely not be. At least not on a regular basis.

If you do daily dog walks on actual off road trails, I’d keep the running buggy for that. The Cybex is a fabulous option for everything else you’d ever want to do with a pushchair!

You need bigger wheels and better suspension to cope with frequent off road use. The twist is a gimmick which makes the seat smaller. If your DD is big for her age then I think you won't get much use out of this one.

Personally I think compact is a red herring for flights - I've found it much easier and better to take my biggest, most robust (e.g. a jogging pram) and take it up to the gate and have it put in the hold. Stick a luggage strap around it in case the lock fails although with a big chunky robust one they usually don't.

However if you want compact and parent facing, Bugaboo Bee is still the winner IMO.

I'd look at Cybex Balios S - not so much the Talos S (it's not really any better suited to off road than the Balios) or the Joie ones which can go parent facing - they have a couple of different models. Mothercare Journey perhaps. Second hand Uppababy Vista?

Best one I ever had was Maxi Cosi Loola Up but they don't make them any more, and it was never the most popular so I might have weird taste Grin

This YT channel is absolutely brilliant - thoroughly recommend getting lost in their videos. Although the person doing the narration has an American accent he is based in Norway so the models he discusses are those on the EU market which are usually the same as the ones in the UK.
