Pushchair Decision In London

Hey all, first time parent to be here and baby boy due in June, based in South West London who will mainly rely on public transport for shopping and nursery. Currently looking at which pushchair to purchase. I’ve been to Mama & Papas, John Lewis and Tinyfeet and have looked at some of the options but going back and forth on which one as will be everyday pushchair:

Options:

  • Bugaboo Dragonfly (main pick)
  • Nuna Triv Next (Possibility but basket can hold up to 4kg)
  • Joolz Hub2 (it’s compact but realising the basket was small)
  • Yoyo 2/ 3 (too small)
  • Joolz Aer+ (too small)
  • Uppababy Vista Cruz (large basket but might be too big)

Anybody who currently owns either a dragonfly or has any similar options as this seems to be the main pick.

Thank you for your help

I know of 2 people who have used their yoyo with a child aged up to 7!!!

Love the dragonfly but it's not cabin approved so you'll likely still need a travel stroller. The best alternative would be a yoyo but not keen on them as I find them to rattle on cobbles and I don't like the look either. 😬

I loved my cybex eezy s twist as could parent face the whole way through and change even while baby was in it.

Very happy with my dragonfly, have been all over London with it on tube and buses. Lots of configurations (currently have 1yr old facing me) and decent size basket.

Does the bugaboo dragonfly let a toddler lie flat to sleep? My old bugaboo bee did but my friend has a bigger bugaboo where the seat and back tip together so the poor kid is trying to sleep with his legs in the air. I'd avoid that.

Where in London? What kind of places will you go with it?

I have the Uppababy vista but not in London. If I go into London for the day I almost always take my travel buggy as I find the Vista too big in cafes/shops.

The Nuna looks great! Really compact food and upright seat, which you will appreciate as they get older.

I have the Joolz aer+, my baby is 6 months and we've just moved from the bassinet to the seat, love it. So light, perfect for buses, but also sturdy, so easily to manoeuvre in the street, the fold is so easy.

I hated the dragonfly, we actually returned it.

I found it felt really jolty to push and the wheels got clogged constantly.

My choice would be one of the nunas, or go for a cheaper option with a view to getting a Joolz Aer / Buggaboo butterfly at 6 months

We have the yoyo. The basket actually stores a surprising amount ( more than our large mountain buggy). And we have shoved loads in it over the years travelling. Our almost 5 year old still fits in it, and he was too big for friends bugaboo fox by 3 years.

Which one did you get eventually?
