Full sized or travel stroller to use in Italy?

I bought the Yoyo 3 compact travel stroller for multiple trips we are taking this year including Denmark and France with our longest stay being Italy for a month.

I'm now worried the wheels are too small and won't handle the Terrain, mainly cobblestones. The Yoyo wouldn't be able to go on the plane with the airline we are flying with anyway so I began to think "do I really need a compact stroller?"

I've been looking at the Nuna Triv Next, but then worried it's too big!

I don't like the Joolz aer plus or bugaboo equivalent (as I know people love these so will recommend). Also have the uppababy minu but don't love it.

So it is between these 2 strollers and I just don't know do I go for small but might now push on the Terrain, or larger but may be too large for coffee shops etc?

Please help, I have been researching for days and I still have no idea what I should do!

It meant to say "might not push on the terrain" 😅

yoyo is fine for towns, we took it everywhere. Rome, Florence, etc. It depends if you want to go somewhere more rural, then you’ll need a more all terrain buggy, but I’d just use a backpack.

I’ve never been on an airline where the yoyo wasn’t allowed? Who are you flying with?

Happymummydays · 04/02/2025 20:48

@Plaided AMAZING! We are going to Venice, a small town on the east coast (but not worried about that as its well paved), and then Rome. So it sounds like it will manage thank you!

@Plaided We are flying with Ryanair and they don't allow any strollers on board, and the yoyos bag is too big for their carry on so I couldn't sneak it on either haha

You might be able to get the pram all the way to the gate and then they take it? We took our yoyo to Lisbon which is very cobbly and hilly and it was fine, although I would suggest bringing a carrier as well because sometimes pushing the pram was hard work! We have a side carrier for our toddler which worked well

@Happymummydays you 100% can take yoyo on Ryanair. Just add priority to one person so you get extra hand luggage. I always add it and then the yoyo fits within the overhead hand luggage size. I just fold it into the free bag that comes with it, and it has strap anyway. We bought the yoyo rucksack bag but that was useless as folds really big to carry around when empty
