Hi, im pregnant with our 2nd. My 1st born has severe mobility needs and is unable to sit unaided. For this reason he requires a mobility buggy (snappi buggy). Planning ahead, does anyone know if:
A) there are any adaptions out there to attach a carry cot to his existing buggy (side cart)
B) if there are any suitable double buggies that offer good support for him.

Have you looked at a Buggypod https://www.buggypod.com/

Most people who use a disability buggy end seem to up using a carrier in the early stages with the new baby then use a Buggypod later on.

Hi OP Congratulations on your pregnancySmile
I'm awake unable to sleep so have had a Google, I can't find any carrycot options & forgive me if you've already seen this one, but I came across 'Activate for kids' who do a mobility pushchair which you can attach a baby car seat to (behind the main seat, facing you) & then you can change this to a second seat (behind the main seat, facing the back of the other seat)

We had the snazzi but have just moved down the Mobiquip XL. We’ve used a few different things with our kids, depending on size/age. I’ve done the babywearing and using the snazzi but for double buggy our favourite has been the out n about nipper, high max weight, easy to navigate and push, goes anywhere and isn’t too wide for doorways. You can have a bassinet on one side for baby or use a newborn insert. We now use the single version and rotate children as needed however will be considering the double again or the wagon now we have two older children with needs and a baby. It gives us options, depending on what we are doing we use a combination of out n abouts, the mobiquip and the sling. I did also until I fell pregnant use the sling to carry my eldest who was 5 at the time (but big for his age).

The buggypod isn’t suitable from birth.

As well as Activate for Kids’ tandem buggy with the attachment for the maxi cosy baby seat and Activate for Kids’ Corgi Sprint wheelchair with tandem attachment for the maxi cosy baby seat, Patron’s tandem buggy is also suitable from birth.

There are some others where an SN seat can be added to an ordinary frame and a baby car seat attachment added too. I can’t remember which ones are from birth off the top of my head. One that is from 6 months is the Medifab Shuttle Discovery Double which uses a Phil & Teds frame - although depending on the size of your 4 year old, it may be too small.

It might be worth speaking to NewLife and Whizz Kidz. It is probably not quick enough for you but wheelchair services can sometimes help too.
