Ordering 2 prams online - returning one - good idea?

We are so torn between the bugaboo fox 5 and dragonfly and have been for a while.

Our current flat (we are moving in the next year) has limited space and in an ideal world to make a decision on the pram, we would like to order both online, assemble both and take a look at them in our flat / getting them through our front door and where they’d be stored.

There would be no outside use of the pram at all, it would literally just be assembled to look at and then re packed.

thinking of ordering from Pramworld or John Lewis in the sale.

Has anyone ever had experience returning an unused pram but one that had been assembled and put back down? Don’t want to run into issues so might not do this if risky!

thank you!

It's almost impossible to repack a lot of items back Into the box once they've been out and assembled. I work for a retail store.

Thanks everyone!!

Against most of the advice on here I’ve ordered the Fox 5, I just feel it’s the one that will be the most sturdy and we won’t be living in this flat for along time as we are planning to move to the countryside.

Found a great Yo-yo on FB marketplace so will sit in the camp of having both!

Now just to clear out some serious cupboard space… 🫢

I would still be very cautious…

Very very few parents use a travel system beyond about the 12 month mark, so you will be probably be sick of the Bugaboo long before your move.

Living in the country you are also better off with a true all terrain pram like an Out n About or Baby Jogger. Picking mud out of the mud guards on the front wheels with a stick on the Fox 5 will drive you mad over winter.

I live rurally and my fox 5 handles everything I throw at it. I also have a nipper but prefer the fact my fox 5 can parent face.
