Yoyo upright for 4 month old?

Hi - I have a babyzen yoyo, currently in bassinet mode for my 4 month old. He's getting too big for the bassinet (he's long and chunky!) and I'd also prefer the upright for an upcoming holiday (less car space) but the guidelines say to switch to the upright at 6 months. He is weighty and has good head control but isn't sitting unaided. I moved my (much smaller) older daughter at around 5 months but she was sitting then. Thoughts?

I think 4m is a bit young to switch, as the Yoyo 6m+ seat doesn't lie flat. I'd consider it with a buggy that lay flat. Would the newborn pack be more comfortable than the bassinet as it's less rigid?

Thanks @gaksen - I actually hadn't thought of that, it has the legs poking out right and can be folded? I'm asking around to see if I can borrow one for a couple months!

I actually think it would be fine at 4 months.
We moved Ds around 4 months to seat part of another pram as he could sit so carrycot he was leaning out of.

We didn’t have the yoyo at that age, bought a few months later, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use for another at 4 months for travel. You can always use sling and pram combo. But it lies flat enough that they will be comfortable and can nap

It depends on the baby. If a 4 month old iOS sotting and can hold themselves up then they will be fine in it, but sounds like OPs baby isn’t yet. Yeh baby should lie flat for naps at this stage especially when not able to sit.

Thanks all - sorry, should've clarified, he isn't sitting up unaided yet. He has good head control and can be propped up but not properly sitting yet.
