Upright but light weight pram for day to day and holidays …

Does such a thing exist 😂

I have an 18m old toddler - 91st percentile height and weight. Likes to be upright.

I bought the silver cross jet 3 when he was 5m old and have been using that as a travel pram for abroad and it’s been fine until he was around 12m but now I hate it! He looks so uncomfy and cries in it - he just looks so slouched and almost dangling!

id like a lightweight push chair for daily use but also one for holidays - not precious about being canon approved as my jet3 is approved and tui never once let me take it on board, always went in the hold at the gate!

I’ve been looking at the joie signature parcel - it seems to meet my needs but I’m scared it’s going to be like the jet 3 - however online the back does look more supportive and seems to be a deeper seat. The jet 3 just seems to be a slope with no real place for their bum!

anyone use the joie parcel or have other recommendations?

thanking you!

I have an out and about that we take on holiday - it's second hand and goes into the hold.

I admit it's big but lightweight to push and great for beaches.

Reason I was suggesting it is that my 6 year old sits in it comfortably

We have the Joie Parcel and love it! My DS is also very tall and I agonised over what buggy to get. He loves it and happily climbs in himself. He's upright in it and his feet can dangle or he can rest them on the bar. It's so lightweight compared to his old pram and easy to fold and carry with one hand. Also a good price. I have no regrets 😁

@Givemepickles so glad you like it! Do you use it as your main push chair now?
We don’t go on walks daily anymore as he’s at nursery 3 x per week but probably still use it 3ish times a week and we live in a city so don’t need big terrain wheels! It just looks like it would be good for my daily pottering around and then also good for travelling home and away!
I also thought about the joie literax but maybe that’s too big ?

@ecossegirl91 yes I put the Uppababy in the loft after a couple weeks as the Joie was so good I knew I wouldn't go back. I love that i can pop it in the passenger seat next to me in the car.

We have taken it on some more rural walks and it's not got the same all terrain abilities of the bigger travel systems but it survived and the wheels still seem fine. I did think it was a bit small when DS first climbed in as his head is at the top of the back but he doesn't seem to mind at all and happily sits up.

Don't know about the other Joie you mentioned sorry.

I had a MacLaren buggy for ds, I bought it for us to use mainly for when we went to our caravan, but it got used more than the travel system we got ready for him being born. It was light, easy to fold & didn't take up much room. It was bomb proof, used when we went abroad so thrown in the hold on planes, it still looked brand new when he no longer needed it.

If you want upright, then umbrella folds are far better..Maclaren or a Silvercross Pop...they don't have the sloping back (although they do recline fully). I got rid of our Joie and got a second hand Pop, and still use it a lot at just turned 3 and it is properly upright, no slouching and a high weight limit.
Got chucked in the hold to go to Australia 3 months ago and still came out in one piece.

When they dangle and slouch it's because the seat isn't deep enough. The Stroller Workshop are good at pointing this out on their reviews. They really don't like umbrella strollers though so never review those. But they are good for seeing the difference between the different microcompact ones:

That playlist has too many videos to watch all of them - the ones at the bottom are the more recent ones.
