Please help me find a good buggy for naps!

I started a thread about baby joggers but had no response so hopefully this might get a bit more.

I’m looking for a pushchair that isn’t too heavy to push, good for off-road (more uneven, bumpy pavements and lots of up and down curbs) and most of all comfortable for my little one to sleep in as he naps in one every day!

I’m currently using the uppababy Cruz but am finding it quite cumbersome which makes it difficult to steer on the uneven pavements. It’s also quite big and heavy for my mum so looking for something that will be easier for both of us.

I’ve been looking at the baby joggers but in all honestly, can’t tell what the difference is between any of them so don’t know which type I should be looking at. They don’t look very comfortable for sleeping either but I could be wrong. I’ve only got as far as baby joggers so any other recommendations would be hugely appreciated. I briefly looked at the mountain buggy but thinking maybe it’s a bit too ‘off-road’ for what I need?
I’m hoping to get rid of my whole travel system with this new switch so fingers crossed I find the right one soon! Thank you!

My eldest would nap peacefully in the BJCM for 2 hours daily. It had a good recline, almost flat and a leg rest so she was practically horizontal. Not sure why it wouldn't look comfortable to nap in compared to any other buggy.

We are city based and it was fine for pushing around town and also in large parks (so over grass and a bit of dirt track). But tbh I also found a light umbrella buggy fine for bumpy pavements and kerbs. It's not as if it will fall apart if you need to push it over some cobbles. I think a proper off road buggy is only needed for places where you have miles of mud track and no paving at all.

Thank you so much @gealen @idontlikealdi that's really good to know. I’m sure it is comfortable and am probably overthinking it as I’m used to the looking at the bucket seat style on the uppababy!

Is there much of a difference between the city mini / 2/ gt2? From what I’ve read these are better than the tour but not sure which to go for.

My baby naps in an out n about for hours every day 😂 I have to wake her up! So it must be comfy. I think it's the nipper not the sport version. But she looks very cosy in it and it's easy to push. So much so that I could push and steer it one handed when I broke my arm last year.

I had a baby jogger city mini double and both kids slept amazingly in it until around age 3-4.

It was very roomy and the hood was pretty massive so blocked a lot out. The seat went very flat too. I'm not sure if the dimensions are the same as the single but I'd recommend if they are.

Thank you everyone for your posts, they completely convinced me to get one. We got a bjcm gt2@rickandmorts the out and about does look very comfortable though !

we’ve had it two days and baby has slept really well so far so no idea why I thought it wouldn’t be comfortable. It is a dream to push- now to get rid of the uppababy. Thank you!! X
