It's not all about the weight...

Please can you recommend your favourite pushchairs for toddlers. My pram is getting tatty, and I'm in need of something new for my 2.5 year old. Everywhere I look, the main selling point seems to be lightweight, tiny, fold up designs to fit in the boot, which often leads to other points being left disappointing. I don't drive, so spend 90% of my time walking about with my son, not jumping in and out of cars. The main things I'm looking for are:

  • Full sit up.
  • Easy recline (doesn't need to be completely flat).
  • Large storage basket.
  • Easy break
  • Easy to clean fabric or bonus points for removable seats, which can be thrown in the wash.
  • Good looking, quality design
  • Price point £200.

TIA!

We bought an oyster zero a few years ago and have loved it. It’s got a big seat unit so it’s comfy. It’s lovely to push too. Not 💯 sure on price now though and can’t remember what we paid for it but Defs worth considering for what you want it for.

I'd be tempted to get a second hand out n about because it will take child until quite tall. Basket not huge but I just added a backpack. We had ours up until school for long walks when I wasn't driving.

My Vista ticks all of those boxes. I also don’t drive so it does a loooot of miles walking (and copes fine with London busses despite being chunky).

They’re not cheap, but mine is currently on its 4th child and working perfectly. I’d see what you can find second hand.

City mini. I prefer the gt model. Dont know if you can get a new one for that money but you'll definitely be able to get a nice second hand one

Out and about Nipper.

So light and comfortable to push, on long walks or easy to manoeuvre around the shops. I have spent years pushing single and double ones many many miles. Am past all that now but if I had to do it again I would not look at anything else

Maclaren buggy I had one for DS and I wish I had bought it earlier. They are so strong and good quality. Light to push and easy to fold down. No idea of the fastest model these days as my pram days are now over!

Thanks everyone who's posted, it's looking like I need to get more money together than what I've currently got then!
