Which stroller for my 1 year old?

I am after a second stroller for my 1 year old. Ideally I’m looking for lightweight a stroller that (easily) collapses all in one and can be popped in the boot for short trips into town etc.

I’ve gone down somewhat of a rabbit hole of compact strollers (Joolz Aer, Babyzen YoYo, Silvercross clic) and they seem quite expensive for what they are. I’m not sure if I should go for one of these or something a little more substantial like the Nuna Triv or Egg Z.

Any recommendations/advice/tips more than welcome 😅 thank you!

We've found the Yoyo to be really useful - it's our main buggy, well made and so compact. We got it second hand although even second hand prices are quite high. If you are having more dc I'd just get it new as it lasts well enough to survive multiple dc. I wouldn't bother with a more substantial buggy - presumably you already have a tougher main buggy so what would be the point.

The YoYo is excellent, it’s been our main pram for 6 years now.

Agree with posters above. If you're getting a 2nd pram absolutely go for the lightness and convenience of super-compact (or umbrella fold if that works for you)

Get the yoyo. You won’t regret it.

We bought yoyo as second pram around 1 year. For compact fold. it’s one of only ones actually within hand luggage size also if you travel.

We still have our large off road three wheeler as rural, so definitely needed two, but we pick the yoyo out of choice if going to town, travelling, etc. In busy restaurants it’s just folds under tables where other prams have been refused, and it’s been on many trains, planes and boats

Definitely recommend the Joolz aer. It’s so easy to fold and carry and is comfy for the child and looks great.

I have a cybex eexy s twist plus. It is v compact, almost as small as the joolz aer and yoyo but the sun hood is way better and it does parent facing which is a game changer for me. The plus version has suspension so a bit nicer to push than an umbrella stroller. I searched far and wide for a parent facing compact!

Recently got the Bugaboo Butterfly after originally going to the store to get a YOyo.

They both fold super small. But the Bugaboo had a really luxurious and large seat unit so 2.5yr old fits well and it'll be able to hold him comfortably for a long time. (head can lean back on backrest whereas he was too tall for yoyo headrest and I wouldn't say he's a tall child!) bugaboo also had a far better one handed fold whereas yoyo needed two hands at one point.

We love it!
