Nuna Mixx Next and Maxi Cosi

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a Nuna Mixx Next and a Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 or Pebble 360 Pro car seat but I'm finding it impossible to get a definitive answer as to whether the car seat is compatible with the pram. We've visited a pram shop where the staff member put the Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 Pro onto the Nuna, and declared that it fitted but she seemed really unsure of what she was saying.

Has anyone used this pram with either of these car seats and can vouch for their compatibility? Maybe I'm just overthinking it!

Thanks.

If you've seen them go together in the shop then it's fine :)

Sickscared · 06/09/2023 11:27

Hi, we tried the pebble 360 pro with the nuna triv and it fitted, if they showed you in the shop you should be fine!

Patsypoo · 24/09/2023 13:47

Hi,
did you buy the pebble in the end? I have the same question. I’m getting a nuna mixx from 2019 so slightly older than the current model and I want the maxi cosi pebble 360 pro car seat. Wondered whether you went for it in the end and if they fit?
cheers

olderthanyouthink · 24/09/2023 15:12

All the maxi cosi infant seats bar the Jane carry cot one use the same adapters so if the pram says fits maxi cosi/cybex it will fit.

The lists are never exhaustive because there's soooooo many seats and new ones come out all the time.

We haven't bought either of them yet. We'll be ordering the pram tomorrow and planning to go for the Pebble 360 Pro 🤞🏼

Thanks, I wish it had been that easy. Nuna don't say that their prams are compatible with any other car seats and we didn't want to end up with a bad match. I think we're sorted though 👍

Ooh let me know how they fit. Cheers! 😊

@rox1987 Hello! Do you mind sharing how you got on? I’m looking at the Nuna Mixx Next pushchair as liked the look of the Nuna Arra car seat. Now I’ve discovered the Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 pro which also looks great!

Just wondered why you went for the Maxi Cosi over the Nuna Arra? As far as I can see they have similar features (360 spin, lay flat recline) Did it fit ok in the end?

TIA 😊

Hey, I was looking for one recently and had similar questions. They both fit and you're right - both are very similar. It's more the brand really. I was told that the Maxicosi one is pretty universal and goes with most prams, and that's it's also airline approved so can be used during flights if wanted. That's the difference really. For the discount you get the Arra in a bundle there's not much to pay extra for Maxicosi which doesn't come in a bundle so will cost you more. Right now the Arra bundle are in sale in Mama and Papas (who give you £100 voucher when you spend £1000 in store) and John Lewis (who give you 10% off after you book a baby appointment with them)

hanlaurenx · 19/11/2023 09:43

Thanks for the reply! I had another John Lewis appt yesterday and actually got to have a go with them too. For anyone else looking - the Maxi Cosi is about 1kg heavier but can be strapped in with a seatbelt too (The arra needs to be always used with the isofix base).
The other thing I discovered, which I think will be a deciding factor for me, is that; although it spins, the arra still needs to be in the rear facing position when actually clicking it on to the isofix base. Due to my awkward back car doors, I think it’s going to be easier for me to click the seat onto the base at about a 45 degree angle and THEN spin it round to be rear facing.

For this reason I think I’ll be going Maxi Cosi Pebble Pro (& now considering the Micralite GetGo pram!).

Hey, I posted this really far in advance when we originally started looking so we picked up the pram on Saturday and we haven't got the car seat yet. The reason we're going for the Maxi Cosi instead of the Nuna is just the ability to strap it in with the seatbelt. It isn't something we'll rely on normally but we wanted the assurance that we can get the baby in the car if/when we need to and the base is away in the other car. I'd never heard of the Micralite Pram so just had a quick google - looks brilliant!

Hello, can I jump in on this and ask if a Maxi Cosi pebble would fit on a Nuna Isofix? Hating our Nuna car capsule and wondering if I can just get the Maxi cosi pebble seat to use on the existing base? Thank you!!

olderthanyouthink · 18/01/2024 13:33

E@Annie2222 no. The bases are brand and (often) model specific. You can just belt the pebble in though

Hello, could you tell me if the pebble 360 pro is compatible with Nuna Mixx Next, please? I am interested in buying both. Thank you!!!

This is such a late post to this thread but we are really wanting to get the Nuna Mixx Next pram bundle BUT not with the Nuna Arra Flex car seat just because I’ve seen a lot of issues with chin to chest fits.

The lady at the pram shop told us that they wouldn’t sell us a bundle that included a car seat that wasn’t Nuna and technically Nuna state they are only compatible with Nuna products!

We are wanting to get the Maxi Cosi 360 and just was absolute clarification that the car seat can fit onto the Nuna Mixx Next with no issues!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

rox1987 · 15/11/2025 17:04

Hi, yes it does. It was totally fine. As far as I can remember we bought the Nuna bundle without a car seat and just bought the Maxi Cosi car seat by itself.

Hey! Which adapter did you use? We are going for a maxi cosi pebble 360 for our nuna mixx next too. My sister in law tried it with a ring adapter and it didn't work

olderthanyouthink · 07/12/2025 09:56

@Rb26the ring adpater is only for Nuna car seats. You need universal adapters and I’ve no idea why they’re so hard to fine but I think these are them https://ebay.us/m/PvkyXh

Nuna car seats give a crap fit for newborn, pushes their chin to their chest risking them not breathing very well (can a small baby breathe or even fit that well isn’t part of crash testing) So I wouldn’t swap to one of those.

willow234 · 13/12/2025 15:15

I remember coming cross this exact thread when I was looking too. I had a maxicosi cabriofix (highly agree the Nuna car seats didn’t have a great fit, maxicosi was much better). The ring adapter won’t work but the universal adapters did. I got mine from eBay for about £40 as lost the original ones that came with the pram. But can confirm it definitely did fit and was very safe x
