Would bugaboo bee solve my Vista issues?

I have 16 month old and we've owned Uppababy Vista since birth. I have loved the pushchair, especially the massive basket however recently the two piece fold and lugging the two parts through the house to store it in the kitchen under stairs cupboard is making me think there might be an easier way. Same issue with packing it in the car: seat on the ground, fold the frame and put in the boot then seat on the top. We don't have a driveway so unfolding is again two part job then a short journey to the house (I still prefer the parent facing option which doesn't have the one piece fold, which is quite big anyway and wouldn't fit the under stairs cupboard).

I am trying to convince myself I don't need brand new Bee but I love it's one piece fold, parent and world facing view and the extensive sun canopy. I wouldn't buy second hand, I am not a snob but I was put off when I got one for the grandparents and the folding mechanism sometimes doesn't work properly.

We are trying for baby no 2 so there would definitely be more use out of the Bee but I feel like maybe I have fallen for Bugaboo advertising. The only thing that I am not sure is great on the Bee is the basket. Where do you put all shopping? Does it fit anything beyond the changing bag?

I would appreciate any opinions, especially if you owned/tried both prams.

Have the bee6. Basket is so small and difficult to access, I think I would find it hard to go back from an Uppababy basket to be honest! But I do otherwise love the pram. The 6 comes with the stand attached, so it easily folds straight into standing which is great if you're collapsing it on a soggy street. We've literally just bought the Bugaboo Bee XL bag (on vinted - been sold out new for a long time) which is a huge bag that hooks on below the handlebars for extra storage which I'm hoping will make up for the basket (and I mention as I've been using the pram for 17 months and only just heard about it).

I've been on the fence between the Bee and the Yoyo for quite a while and eventually went with Yoyo because of all of the folding mechanism issues I've heard about with the Bee. Even if you got a brand new one, it's very possible it would develop some of the issues you see with second hand models!
And yes the basket will probably be slightly too small to be completely useful for carrying all the things a toddler/baby will need if you're going out for longer than a couple of hours, but space-wise the buggy itself is excellent!

We recently got a lighter pram for similar reasons to you and it was a great choice. We've been using a bugaboo Lynx since baby was born and I had zero complaints at all for most of that time.

But I'm learning to drive and the Lynx is a pain to get in the boot by yourself. And our house has a tiny hallway that the Lynx entirely blocks. So we got a Joolz Aer because of the one hand fold and how tiny and light it is. Now when I get the Bugaboo out (it is more comfortable/supportive for full day stints), I find it heavy and harder to manage even though before I would have said it was smooth and easy!

I agree that I think you’d struggle to compete with the Vista based on basket size. I have a much smaller pushchair with a one hand fold as at the time we had a tiny car and it needed to fit in the boot (we walk/drive around 50/50 as live rurally). Honestly the basket size has never been an issue. We have our groceries delivered so it’s not needed for that but I fit changing bag, lunchbox, drinks, toys, change of clothes, coat, even a picnic blanket if we need it in the basket no problem. We sometimes go out all day and again, never had an issue. However, it’s definitely what I’m used to, I can’t use it as a dumping area, I do have to properly pack it to get everything in whereas my sister has the Vista and seems to take everything including the kitchen sink with her. I’d never want to push that up a hill fully loaded (lots of hills near us).

I would get the babyzen yo-yo over the bee. Super nippy to fit in a cupboard

I have the bee and the yoyo (yes I'm addicted to pushchairs) and I probably marginally prefer the bee. I think the basket is a fair size, just a bit awkward. I like that the seat heat and depth is adjustable, it's forward and rear facing, and you can change the colours if you want to. It also lays completely flat. The bugaboo buggy board is also great as it has a seat. Never had any problems with it folding and it's nearly 5 years old. The yoyo is good for travelling, I just find the seat is a bit shallow and he always looks a bit uncomfortable as it's also quite reclined despite being pulled as tight as possible. He almost seems like he's slipping out sometimes now he's getting bigger.

However my favourite buggy is the baby jogger city mini at the moment. It's one hand fold, folds as small as the bee, massive basket, easy to push, big cosy seat. I'd definitely look at it!
