Hi all.

Currently expecting DC #3 and we are looking for an alterain pushchair that is compatible with an isofix car seat.

We do lots of walking with our dogs mainly mountain walks and off the beaten track and we would like a suitable pushchair.

Would love some recommendations please Smile

Bumping this for you as I'm looking for the same.

I have loved the icandy All Terrain (in 3 wheel mode), we still use it daily and DD is 2.5.
I had a Nuna Pipa Lite car seat which fitted it with adapters.

I wanted a proper carrycot and parent facing modes which ruled out a lot of the other models. I have a horse and it’s been on farms every day in all weathers, it’s good in mud within reason.

But for proper off roading up a mountain you are much better off with a sling I think. Wheels can only go so far if there’s no surface.

The Baby Jogger City Elite 2 looks really good. 3 large wheels, compact 1 hand fold and a carrycot so small babies can face you.

The best I have found for off road is a silver cross sleep over on a bouncy chassis. It doesn’t fit the current cat seat though. But they are available second hand in immaculate condition for less than £50.
Babystyle and another make produce the same style.
It’s amazing goes over any Typw of ground.

Thank you all for your replies, I'll take a look.

Definitely agree with the sling, we will 100% be getting a carrier for more adventurous walks but I really want something easy to manoeuvre when DH is in work and I'm left to walk the dogs! We do have lots of lovely cycle tracks locally but I know I'll be bored of these after the first few weeks!

Thanks again all!

Mountain buggy. The carrycot plus converts to parent facing afterwards. There is the swift, urban or terrain depending on how big you want to go.

We've been looking at the Bumbleride Era, which has good sturdy air-filled tyres - unfortunately there are not many stockists in the UK but there's one near to us so we test-drove it at the weekend and it's lovely. Built with sustainable materials and the seat is reversible and lay-flat, but there's also a carrycot option. Bumbleride Indie has good chunky wheels too, but it's a 3-wheeler and not reversible.

There's also the Bugaboo Fox 2 (the Fox 3 is the newest model but we can't find much difference between the 2 and 3, and the 2 is cheaper), advertised as all-terrain but if you want something with tractor-looking tyres it might not be your thing. BUT it's very very VERY easy to manoeuvre, you can push it with one hand on smooth ground (maybe even one finger!)

We also looked at the Joie Versatrax, which looks like good value if you want something cheaper, but the reviews aren't as glowing.

I should add, these suggestions are from our search for a good all-rounder including parks, hills etc and day-to-day use - as another PP said, if we were scaling a mountain we'd use a papoose/carrier instead.

If you are going seriously off road, you want a Mountain Buggy Terrain...
We had an Icandy all terrain.. got stuck in mud multiple times and damaged the chassis! The MB goes through anything.. taken it through fields, bogs, hills and amazingly for it's size we can lift it over styles no problem. Can't beat those 16 inch wheels! (also comes with 12 inch ones for round town)
