Best stroller for a 2+ yo

I have the Babyzen yo-yo and was pleased with it until my 2yo tipped over and fell on his arm this afternoon (very dinky pushchair). This past few weeks, I've been having some serious thoughts about it as my toddler keeps undoing the buckle and letting himself loose which is extremely easy to undo! All he needs to do is basically try to get up, off it springs wide open! Also, it's a bit rubbish when the ground surface changes from smooth to gravel or little bumpy, it gets harder to push and my toddler weighs 13kg right now and the heavier he gets, the more muscle I need even if it's smooth city pavements. It has a small basket space which is ok but I would have preferred it to be larger.

I'm looking for a stroller which has;

Secure buckle
Sturdy frame
Smooth pushing (large wheels)
Larger basket
Secure interior and protection against our tropical British weather (rain, thunder, winter, summer heat)
And something I can use until he is 4 or over or when he gets tired from walking even if he seems old for an pushchair which would be ideal for long days out.
Also, I don't mind splashing out a few hundred pounds as long as I get min 2 years use. Max budget £600/£700

What would you recommend :)

Ergobaby Metro. My three year old is really comfy in it. Has a great hood and decent sized wheels

Another vote for baby jogger. We have a baby jogger city mini and a maclaren xt - both secondhand. They are both v good prams but the city mini is fab - easy to push, basically all terrain, and folds with one hand

We never took our baby jogger city elite on a flight so I can't comment in that regard. The wheels are quite big, but they can easily be removed, one button. The rest of the pushchair you pull up the handle in the seat and it folds over on itself flat, it's not a light pushchair though, just had a quick Google, it's 12kg. I'm not sure if there's a weight limit?

Thank you everyone so much, I really appreciate all your comments. My hearts gone with the baby jogger and will decide in John Lewis today to either get the city mini one or Elite. Mind you we do live in the capital city. I think because the yo-yo is so compact, I will still take that with me on holiday but will purchase the extra piece to secure the harness to make sure he doesn't escape. I really really appreciate all your recommendations and feel very grateful for being part of the mumsnet community. I hope you all have a lovely day enjoying this weather DaffodilDaffodilDaffodil
