Bugaboo Fox 2 or iCandy Peach

Hi, I'm really stressing out about which pram to get ! On the one hand, the fox 2 is perfect for all terrain walking and I shall be doing a lot of hikes ! However, the iCandy bassinet is perfect for overnight sleeping ! I'm not sure which one to purchase if either at all as they'd be putting me £1,000 out of pocket. Can you ladies help or steer me in the best direction ??

I don’t have either but have tested both.

We would have gone with with Fox 2 but it didn’t fit in my boot. Overall I just preferred it and how it could work on all terrains. I’ve a friend who highly rates the Fox.

The iCandy peach apparently needs loads of adapters, if you go for the version that converts to a double the 2nd child can’t see anything but the back of the other seat. Also from online they don’t seem great for post care.

The iCandy carrycot folds down which I don’t think the Fox does. I also think you can use the Fox carrycot overnight too with the approved stand.

They are both big pram systems and most people I know with one got sick of it by the time baby was 8-12 months and bought a cheaper umbrella fold pram, because big pram and big baby/toddler makes them so heavy and tiring. So bear it mind that you’ll be spending a grand for something you likely won’t use for more than a year.

Personally I would get something smaller that will last you longer, and buy second hand. You can find peaks in fab condition on eBay for half the price.

We have the icandy peach and used the carrycot for an overnight stay when LO was smaller. The buggy part is nice as there are 3 options on the straps and the car seat could be put into the frame initially. We got ours for £699 directly from icandy as they have discounts on their range. My friend got 2 second hand ones from eBay and Facebook marketplace for £140. They just needed a deep clean.

I’d agree with @TeddyIsaHe.

And I say that as someone who swapped a very expensive travel system for a Baby Jogger GT at 11 months.

Definitely one to look at.

I had an icandy peach and loved it. Used it from birth (with carrycot) until lo was about 3. Paid about £1000 if I remember correctly but it was worth every penny as I didn't use anything else.
We took it abroad with us (we bought a carrier separately) and didn't find it any more difficult than when we bought a stroller for our eldest, I used to push her for miles in it, on all sorts of terrain too.
I sound like I'm on commission! Grin

We had an icandy peach for DD and I loved it. We used it until she was 3 and then sold it on. Was much better than the umbrella fold buggy we had which we used for the shops.
That said if you're going offroading regularly I'd go for something else. It was decent off road, even on the beach, but not as good as some true off-road travel systems.

I have the bugaboo Cameleon (so like the Fox but obvs not) and I also have the peach in double mode (I bought this on FB for 200 quid for the entire thing etc - bargin!)

Peach- if you're thinking of having a second then this really is the sensible move. I have a MB duet and honestly prefer the peach as a double as it's so much easier to push/compact).
To be brutally honest though I would get a Vista if I was getting a convertible one new as the peach scratches easily/you can't use universal footmuffs.
Also you can't push a toddler on their own in the top seat with the extender adaptors on as it tips (!) It is really easy to push with 2 in though. And folds really small

The bugaboo - amazing quality and so so lightweight and easy to push. Durable and handles so so niftily. Just love the design (and I prefer hand over foot brakes, fox has foot I think). It's big when folded. I also love that you can change the colours.

I've had umbrella ones/the MB nano and can't get on with the lightweight ones, I find big ones so much more comfy and easy.
