Travel system or not?

Hello!

I've started looking at prams and I am SO confused so wanted to see of you all had some good advice for me (you always do!)

Husband and I are living in London, we don't own a car but we rent one for the odd weekend away. We take a lot of ubers though.

Would you recommend we buy a pushchair (going for YOYO2) with its travel system or that we buy a separate pushchair and a separate car seat (research tells me distinct car seats are longer lasting)

Thank you!!

The BabyZen yoyo sells ‘universal’ adaptors so any brand car seat can fit on, not just their own one. BeSafe, Maxi Cosi, Joie, Cybex and Nuna are all compatible with these Smile. Britax also sell an adaptor for the BabyZen on their website.

Infant car seats tend to typically last till around 12-18 months depending on size of baby. Maxi Cosis are huge so most babies can fit up to 15-18 months in those.

I think with the research you may have seen the group 0+/1 car seats? These stay in the car and are not part of a travel system. But, Maxi Cosi, BeSafe, Cybex and Joie do sell bases that are compatible with the next stage seat—however this isn’t necessary unless buying one of those specific seats as most group 1 seats have isofix built in or are seatbelt fitted.

Tbh living in London I think you should be fine with just the BabyZen. It definitely seems to be the most popular in London—at least it was last time I went! Grin
