Hello,
Has anyone used the carrycot+ on their Mountain buggy? It’s more the parent facing bit from 6 months+ I’m interested to hear about? Looks a little suspended in air?

We have this, but still using in Carrycot mode for now. We like the pram in general so far though, its light and compact, and baby seems cosy.

60sPony, I just wondered if you manage to find anything out about the parent facing bit? I am not that keen on using it as a carrycot (I am planning on buying a lie flat carseat) but like idea of having a patent facing seat for use after appeals. However if we have already paid for an expensive lie flat car seat I am not sure I want to spend another £150 if the forward facing seat isn't thay great (as you say it looks tiny and suspended in the air).

Also just to note the reason I went off the idea of the carrycot was because I emailed moutain buggy last year (when we were looking for a buggy for our baby girl who we sadly lost) to ask about using their carrycot in the summer and this was their reply "Both of the cocoon or the carrycot are not ventilated, so we don't recommend using it in summer." Our new baby won't actually be a summer baby, but what they said about it lacking ventilation has put me off using it as a carrycot completely.

@Satlie2019 - the carrycot is approved for overnight sleeping so is fully breathable. I think mountain buggy just meant there is no addition mesh vents in the hood.
However, we are using it right now, live overseas in a hot country and its been fine. The mattress is ventilated, and with the hood up its cool enough inside for baby. We use for all daytime naps indoors also

I wouldn't want to use the lie flat car seat on pram full time tbh, its very heavy. We keep ours in the car all the time due to weight lifting out (baby 2 months so not super heavy)

15Caspianberg thank you that is helpful. I was a bit concerned that they seemed to be saying that they were selling carrycot with no ventilation that babies could nap in. I am probably a bit paranoid about sleeping arrangements for our new baby, even if it is just for whilst they travel in their pram, but you are right I was concerned that the lie flat car seat would be quite heavy to use on the pram (I just thought maybe as the baby would be so tiny and light it would be ok). Anyway, your advice is helpful as I don't think I know anyone with a mountain buggy to ask and with COVID and pregnancy I am not going to go into any shops to try anything out. Thanks
