Hi, we have gone for the mountain swift. Still waiting to use with baby, but happy with choice so far.
For us I liked that with the main seat it folds in one piece compared to say the icandy. The main seat is also suitable from birth if you like and probably easier for travel , but we have also bought carrycot.

It is lightweight (9kg), and bounces down and up our 10 front steps fine. Also fits in our small car. wheels large enough for off road and snow for us, without whole pram being too heavy or tall. I was worried the handle wouldn't adjust enough from old reviews, but the new model seems fine. I am short and Dh tall and both can comfortably push. A neighbours 3 year old sat in it on delivery 2 months ago and still fitted nicely, so I am happy it should last the duration.

I think we paid around £600 for the pepita luxury model and carrycot bundle.

We have the swift and I would recommend it, it’s really light and we still use frequently and my son is 2.5. We live close to a large rugged park and it goes over the terrain really well and is very easy to push and up curbs. Because it’s light is also means that I can pick up the pushchair with my son in and go up and down stairs for tubes/trains if needed.

I would say get a spare tyre from Amazon though as they are air filled we have replaced two over the 2.5 years. The other downside is that not all the fabric comes off it’s frame (canopy) so we wash that in the bath rather than in the machine with the rest.

Think we paid £199 for ours then bought the newborn carrycot and also the rain cover separately which I would say is essential!

And we are due number two this year and will absolutely be using it again... got a lot of life left in it.

@60sPony - fyi, they new model has 'aerotech' non puncture tyres, they are tubeless. i think you can buy them separately now also if you ever wanted to upgrade your own pram.

I’d go for something like the swift over the icandy but I don’t have experience of either. Have a look also t the baby jogger city mini gt (I have a city elite which I love but it’s a little bigger, will fit in a polo with wheels off though), or the out n about nipper (had the double version and loved it)

The wheels are quick release as far as I remember so even if it doesn't go in while it's easy to make it smaller

We got the mountain buggy nano or swift cant remember which now. Hated it initially as found the carry cot a total pain, the good was flimsy and- it was also narrow. We converted the bassinette to the parent facing seat at about 12 weeks and from that point its been amazing.

We've had to replace 1 tire and the other rear tire is starting to go too but that's after 18months of heavy use and I do park run with it. If you can handle some early weeks annoyance it is a great thing. Best accessory we got was a fleecy foot muff though as the parent facing and forward facing seats can look a bit drafty.

Panda368 · 18/04/2020 11:42

Also - I can get it in the back of a yaris with no issue

@Caspianberg great tip! Thanks

We used to have a VW Up! and it fitted folded in there... though there wasn’t much Room for anything else
