Cosatto woosh or Chicco Ohlala?

Hi, been doing a lot of research, and think we might get one of these as a second lighter option.

Story is, happy with our quinny zapp, but currently keep it on the car boot as we live on second floor with no lift. DH will soon be changing jobs and need the car every day, so I need something I can carry up and down, or I'm housebound! Budget is £125 max, which I've found these for, so open to other suggestions too if within our budget.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these models? Do you think they would be carriable up stairs with baby at same time etc? Also, thinking it can double up to take abroad.

I know the chicco is lighter, but concerneced with the weight limit being lower than the cosatto for longevity. Do people stop using pushchairs when they hit 15kg, are they then not safe, or is it just they haven't been tested to a higher weight?

Thanks in advance.

A whinny Zapp is tiny? Why can’t you just use that?

The quinny zapp flex plus is what we have. It's 7.8kg, but needs 2 hands plus bending to fold (so can't do it with baby in carrier) and I can't carry it one handed.

The Chicco doesn't fold much and looks awkward to carry.

The Whoosh looks a bit better but still needs you to bend down.

We used to live next to a rail bridge that we had to cross every day and the only pushchair I found that allowed a fully upright, one hand fold was the Baby Jogger City Mini. We used it for 2 DC and absolutely loved it. If you want something small then maybe look at Baby Jogger City Tour.

Remember though as your DC gets bigger and heavier, small wheels are an absolute pain in the arse on anything but smooth ground. We never switched to a small light stroller for this reason.

Thank you, I'll have a look at these options too. He's nearly 9 months, but is 99th centile so already a good weight to be getting up and down on his own! I see what you mean about the bigger he gets, but I'm struggling to see any other options without never leaving the flat!

The joie might be an option, think the baby jogger is a bit heavy and too expensive unfortunately. I'm just a little unsure as both these say only suitable to 15kg, and DS is already over 12kg, then I'd have to get something else again!

I saw this in Active Threads without spotting the section and thought, Blimey, Baby Names has hit a new wacky low.

@HerculesJohn that's really made me laugh!

We've got a Joie Pact and a Cosatto Woosh (one for each car) and the Woosh feels much more sturdy. I'd definitely go for that over the Pact.

The Pact is easier to carry as it has a shoulder strap and folds flatter.

I've managed to carry the Woosh in one hand and toddler in the other arm. It's easy to fold one handed too.

I had the Chicco and it is a good lightweight pram but DS didn't fit in it for long and he's only 50th centipede for height and 75 for weight... it not very sturdy either, I always felt like it was going to tip over

WooYa · 01/02/2020 20:20

*centile! Hmm

Kcoffecakebubs · 01/02/2020 21:14

@LizzyDarcy1, that's great. Thank you so much, I think you've made my mind up on the Woosh!

@WooYa, I was a bit worried about this with DS being 99th centile, so good to know.
