Travel System - Am I Too Picky?

Currently pregnant with my second child and looking for a travel system. With our first, I had no idea what we would need so ended up buying a travel system, then bought a second hand one because I wanted a carry cot. I also never used the car seat that came with it as I wanted one with a base which made my life so much easier.
This time around I know EXACTLY what I want, but I fear I'm being too picky and it might not exist.
I am looking for the following:
-Pushchair
-Car Seat
-Carrycot
-Compatible car seat base (ideally belted and not isofix)
-Cup holder/snack tray for baby, not just a bar
-Cup holder/tray for parent, not just a handle

I had all of these things in a combination of 3 separate purchase, so nothing was compatible with everything.
Does anyone know of anything remotely close without spending a fortune?
Or am I just being picky and typically unreasonable and pregnant?

I wanted a parent tray too OP but the closest i could find was a parent oragnizer that clips onto the handles its not plastic but fits my water bottle keys and phone etc in with plenty of room. I don't think belted bases are a thing any more unless you buy one 2nd hand either maxi cosi or graco do them other than that your best choosing a pram that fits your needs and add those extras on. There's a Hauck shopper 3in1 with a plastic tray on if you really wanted one but it doesn't have a car seat base

Google gives you endless options. I’ve just done a search.

To add to the list... Consider a car seat that can convert to be lying flat when taken out the car... Safer for the baby's breathing than being in a car seat upright position for long periods

We had the Cybex Cloud Q (car seat lies flat when out of the car) and a bugaboo Fox. The base to the cloud q can be used on isofix or belted (I had isofix, DP didn’t). They’ve now updated to cloud z but not sure if that base can be secured with the belt. Baby is now almost 18 months and still fits comfortably in the car seat.

Cybex, Maxi Cosi, Joie and Britax all have bases which can be fitted with seatbelt. Of those, Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie all go on the same pushchair adaptors except for one specific Joie car seat (Juva) which only goes onto about three of their prams. Britax seats have different adapters. They can go onto Britax prams (and Britax prams don't take any of the others) but a few of the expensive brands do Britax adapters too.

You'll need a car seat which conforms to the older regulations so not i-size, because i-size is (currently) isofix only.

Snack tray is generally a feature of American style pushchairs so you could look at American brands - Graco? Graco only take their own car seats.

I would also look at Joie pushchairs. As a plus Joie are brilliant for combining quality and price. They do cheap really, really, well.

I’ve been through a lot of pushchairs and finally found the holiness of joie.

Joie Muze - I think it doesn't have a carry cot though. But ticks all your other boxes. You might be able to put something like the Chicco soft carrycot inside it.

Not Chicco perhaps - but several companies do what they call a soft carrycot. You just slot it into the fully reclined buggy. You would need a way to secure it so the whole thing didn't slide off when you go up a step, though.

BertieBotts · 10/01/2020 20:27

Probably the best thing to do would be to get the Muze or find a stockist where you can see it in person, then measure the length of the seat when in reclined mode from the top of the backrest to the play tray, the width of it and the height up to the tray. Then you know what dimensions of carrycot you're looking for.

Or just use the pram from DC1 when you want a carrycot, and the Muze when you want to use one of the other features.
