Vintage Silver Cross Wayfarer - I have a question...

I need honest answers please...I have a grandson who stays with me regularly. I have a Bugaboo Cameleon 2 for him, which I love. However, I have a big urge, really big urge, to get a vintage Silver Cross Wayfarer (google it) cos I loved my one so much. For those that don’t know, the original Wayfarer was very popular, much like it’s current namesake. Here’s my question: If you were to see an older lady (early 50’s) with a 1 year old in a vintage silver cross wayfarer pushchair walking down the street, would you think 1. Weirdo; 2. Ooooh I used to have one of those for my children; 3. Ah that’s sad, that lady can’t afford a new pushchair, she’s dragged her old one out (which is my daughter’s answer); or 4. Any other answers. Please be kind 😔😊
Many thanks for your time.

Hi everyone!
I know this is an old thread, but I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me.
I’ve recently bought a vintage Silver Cross Wayfarer and I’m trying to find the original instruction manual. Unfortunately, the seller didn’t have it, and I haven’t been able to find a copy online.
I contacted Silver Cross directly, but they kindly explained that the company changed ownership in 2002 and they no longer have access to instruction manuals for the older models.
My Wayfarer has a label marked “1984”. It has black plastic on the footrest and black covering on the handlebar, and the front wheels are fixed — there is one wheel on each side and they don’t swivel in all directions.
I understand there were several versions of the Wayfarer, so I’d also really love to find out more about which particular version I have.
Most importantly, I would love to see the cleaning and care instructions for the seat, as I would like to clean the fabric but don’t want to risk damaging it by machine washing it if it should be washed by hand.
Does anyone happen to still have an original instruction booklet for this version of the Wayfarer? Even photographs or scans of the relevant pages would be incredibly helpful.
I’ve attached some photos of my pushchair in case they help with identification.
Thank you so much! 😊

That's very like my 1986 version (see upthread). I never washed the seat in the machine, but did used to sponge it down thoroughly with biological washing liquid in hot water and let it dry outside. DS was quite a sicky baby.
