Which double buggy?!! Need some help please.

I'm pregnant with my second child and have started looking at double buggies. I am so lost. My son will be 21 months when his brother is due so I would need a double buggy for a new born and a toddler. I've been looking at tandoms as I don't drive (and my husband is only just learning to), I walk a lot and use public transport, mostly buses.

I've been recommended Phil and Ted's but when I went to a store to have a look I was quite unimpressed. I know the price is good and it's small and light but I just wasn't convinced. I can't see a new born being comfortable in it, it seemed pretty flimsy and and didn't seem very versatile with seat adjustments.

I keep reading about the iCandy double buggies and the Upperbaby Vista online but when I tried those out they seemed so huge and heavy. Today, I tried out a Joolz Geo 2 and quite liked it but there are draw backs to that too. I just don't know what to go for.

Does anyone out there have a buggy they just love which they used for a new born and a toddler? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Have a look on bestbuggy.co.uk

I have a Phil and Teds at the moment but I don't like the fiddly clips at the back to put the seat back upright from reclining. No experience of using it with a small baby though, I'm a childminder.
I'm thinking of getting an Oyster Max but the Britax B-ready was recommended on here recently.
In my experience every double has a drawback somewhere, they are getting better though.

I had a babyjogger side by side and loved it but buses just drove past me a few times, depending on where the pole is I was too wide to get on some models!

I had a P&T sport too and my only complaint is that the extra seat is quite small - my eldest was too big for it while the youngest was still lying down in the main bit. So if you've got a chunky toddler it might not be the best option.

You can use a cocoon with the Phil and Ted's, which makes it much better for a newborn.

I had a mountain buggy duet - great pram! I had a 2yr gap. Can be used from newborn with either a bassinet or cocoon - I just used mine in full recline with a cocoon for my smallest. Only just got rid of it as my son is 3.7 and doesn't need it anymore. There are second hand pages on Facebook which, even if you don't want to buy second hand, you can sell on or buy accessories.

Mountain buggy duet double with "carry cot plus" for the baby. It will take a buggy board later too. And fits through doorways and onto buses. Glides up
And down kerbs, lovely big basket. Also takes car seats x

Have you considered a buggy pod?

Thank you very much for the recommendations. Much appreciated. Still a lbit lost but as someone said on here it seems that every double buggy has it's draw backs. Not considered a buggy pod. I'll have a look into it. Thanks.
