Travel sysytem for farm living

Hi Ladies,
We're very confused first time parents looking to buy a travel system. We live on a farm with roadways throughout but the roadways are pretty rough in most places. We work from home and so baby will be out and about with us in a sling a bit but we want a buggy that's durable with good suspension and easy to get around the farm. We looked at the bugaboo fox, the stokkee trailz and silver cross wave but not sure which is best, they all seem to have big tyres and good suspension but again , we are clusless . Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated 😅

Sorry to add to the confusion but also check out Jane trider and mountain buggy!we have gone with Jane - more so for forest life than farm life tho. Has adjustable suspension, lockable front wheel

We like the mountain buggy too but wondered did we need it as we wouldn't be hiking around the farm or running on the roads but just don't want baby bouncing around.

My feeling with the mountain buggy was that it was trying to be everything - a running buggy and a normal buggy a d an off roader and therefore ended up being jack of all trades master of none. One adavantage of the trider is as the car seat and carrycot as the same item (car seat extends flat) there one less piece of ‘kit’

Is there any particular reason you haven't considered an out and about nipper 360?

If you go to any agricultural shows etc you will see that's what most farming families have. I don't actually know any farming friends with small children who have anything else.

We’re a farming family and we had the out and about nipper 360. Great suspension, was very robust and survived two children.

Thanks so much guys. Will have a look at all of them. We're the first of our friends to have a little one so never even took any notice or buggys or anything before. We went to a baby shop and just felt bombarded with all the choices but all seemed a bit "city living " for us.

Another thing I would add is if you are planning on using a sling and have to go everywhere in the car then I wouldn't bother too much about having a carrycot.

I had a carry cot for the nipper and I probably only used it a handful of times between two children. It was useless over bumpy ground as the baby wasn't secure enough in it and if I was going anywhere (I live rurally so went everywhere by car) by the time I had loaded pushchair and carrycot into my (large) boot there wasn't much room for anything else. By the time I had loaded a baby into the carrycot and got them tucked in etc at the other end I might as well put them in the sling and had my hands free. On the rare occasions I couldn't use a sling (e.g going to the dentist) I had adaptors for the car seat to fit the pushchair which was absolutely fine for the 30 mins or so it was needed.

Carrycots are great if you walk to and from the shops etc from home and can leave baby sleeping in them whilst you do, not so good if you have to do everything by car and are having to constantly load and unload the baby anyway.

Have you looked at the Bumbelride Indie? I have one and I still can't get over how smooth and light it is to manoevre! I think it has all wheel suspension and the lockable front wheel is great for when it gets really bumpy. We always take it on our walks and little one settles really well in it.

We don’t live on a dark but do a lot of off road walking. We had an out and about little nipper and it was brilliant: by far the best buggy we ever had

FARM!!!! We don’t live on a FARM Hmm
