Hi

Can someone please help as I'm having no luck with the icandy website.

I'm going to buy a second hand peach this week. It comes with a seat and a cot. I need to make it in to a double. I think it's a few years old so not going to be the latest model.

Anyone have any clue what sort of adaptor I need???

Presuming it’s the Peach 3 I think you need these:
www.icandyworld.com/uk/en/peach-3-converter-adaptors-only.html
Plus you might want to make sure that the second hand one also includes the elevators to allow more space between the two seats. If not you might be able to find them on the icandy website.

It’s the converters you need but check as they may be already on the pram, they go on the frame.

The elevators are used to make a bigger gap between the two seats so getting the bottom child out is easier.

Also check the carry cot as there are 2 sizes and if you want to use it as a double it’s the smaller carrycot you need. (There are 2 seat sizes too, so if you use two seats you need to normal seat and the smaller (blossom) seat).

Thank you!

Sorry to jump in but I came on here in search of similar answers. I want to use my peach 3 as a double as have just had dc2. I want to use the normal seat unit plus car seat for now.

Will the normal seat unit fit on top with elevators? With maxicosi pebble plus on bottom? Thanks to anyone who can help! X

@Heatherbaby You need the converters on the bottom (attached to the frame) and then the car seat adaptors.

I would be wary about using the car seat as the pram though as newborns are advised 30mins maximum in car seat due to risk of problems breathing because of position of car seat so by the time you have driven somewhere, used pram and then driven back it’s usually more than 30mins. Laid flat in the carry cot is much better for them position wise (and safer).

You don’t need the elevators (you can just put seat unit as you would when using as a single) but it helps give you more space, especially if you lie the top seat back. Hope that helps!

Thanks @littledinaco that's really helpful. I have always abided by the 2 hour rule for baby in car seats but to be honest, with dc1 I never had her in one for that long without a break and this configuration should see me through some quick visits to shops etc.

I have all the adaptors except elevators and tried the car seat and chair combination earlier but the seat wouldn't fit in normal position with the car seat under it. I'll try it again tomorrow in case I did something wrong before I buy elevators!

Thanks again x

@Heatherbaby it definitely fits without the elevators. There are 2 sets of converters depending on whether you are using forward facing or parent facing so check you have both on/are using the right ones.
The elevators may have slid up the frame so you may need to push them down. Might save you having to buy them anyway!

The new advice is now only 30 minutes, there was some research that showed longer than this, blood oxygen levels drop and heart rate and breathing rates increase. Just incase you weren’t awareSmile

The new cybex cloud z car seat is worth looking at. Fits in your car and swivels for you to lift baby in and out so super handy. But Its main feature is it lies flat when not in the car. So you can fit to pram and lie baby flat so you don't have the 30min restriction as their airways aren't blocked.
