Help!

Hello!

I am about to be first time mum and have started researching the most suitable prams/pushchairs out there (who knew there we're so many different options!!) and I'm a little overwhelmed.

I want something that can be used from birth and like the idea of being able to attach a car seat to the chassis.

I love the design and feel of the Silver Cross Wayfarer but was shocked at quite how big it is in real life.. we're about to get a new car and I honestly don't think it will fit in the boot :( so now I'm back to the drawing board.

Ideally I would like (i think)
Parent facing
Use from birth
Car seat adaptable
Compact when folded
Sturdy enough to travel off/trains
Reliable

Any advice you lovely parents can offer will be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance x

We have a Graco Evo for all of the above reasons. It's been fantastic - folds down small (our car is an old Fiesta which really limited our choice as the boot is small). It's very light and nippy to get on and off public transport.
We bought the carrycot to go with it for use in first six months. You can buy a compatible car seat but we didn't bother (lifestyle means we hardly ever needed to drive somewhere and then wheel baby around) so got a Maxi Cosi Pebble instead.
It also has a huge basket!

Thanks @RidingMyBike

I have looked at this pushchair, it seems to be reasonable priced. One thing that put me off was the reviews that said it was bulky and so hard to manage on/off public transport without help. So im glad thats not the case.

Can you have the seat front facing too??

Yes the seat is either front or rear facing and is very easy to swop over. DD stayed parent facing to about 15 months when it became obvious she wanted to see more of the world.

Don't understand the review comments re public transport. I've taken it on suburban trains, buses and the tube with no problems. It is a lot smaller than many of the buggies I've seen parked at toddler groups! It is easy to get on and off them, including when there is a gap between the platform and the tube.

Also, most of that I've done on my own with DD and the pushchair without a problem.

TBH it seemed to offer all the features of the more expensive ones. We've really enjoyed using it and I'm very sad she's almost too heavy for it.
