Babylo Scat or Babyzen Yoyo

Dear all,

Has anyone tried both Babylo Scat and Babyzen Yoyo?

I am looking from a lightweight buggy from birth.

Tried Babyzen at Harrods and quite liked the size and maneuverability but hard to swallow the price for the quality (fabrics seem to be very bad, handle not extending).

Then came across Babylo Scat on-line and it looks really similar but ~4X cheaper. Not sure where to view it in London.

Thanks in advance!

Haven’t heard of the Scat (what an awful name!!!) but I have the YoYo so can give you my thoughts on that if it helps.

No the handlebar doesn’t extend but it’s quite high, I’m 5ft7 and DH is 6ft2- we can both comfortably push it. It’s so easy to manuvere, it passes the crucial steer with 1 hand whilst drinking a coffee test. The fabric quality is fine. I tend to spot clean it with mild detergent and it comes up fine, the footmuff can go in the washing machine. The fold is super easy, it does take a bit of practice but I can now do it 1 handed whilst holding DD like the dishy Frenchman in their video clips. The shoulder strap is also an essential for me as I’m on the 2nd floor with no stairs and no ground floor storage. It also fits in the overhead locker on the plane which is a great plus as we travel a lot. The downsides are that it’s essentially a stroller so terrible off-road, I find the rain-cover a bit awkward to put on and the fold is a bit tricky with the footmuff on, it hangs out of the bottom and can get mucky from the wheels.

However, I’d definitely recommend it, I love mine and feel it’s more than worth the money!

Also the YoYo has a proper parent facing newborn nest, from a quick google it doesn’t look like the other one does? And if you ever drive, you can pop the car seat on the YoYo so it’s essentially a full travel system.

Thank you, TroubledLichen.

Good point about front-facing position for a baby.

Babylo seems to be an Irish brand that is not being sold in London as I only saw it online. A bit awkward as they claim to be "25 years old and well known in Ireland and UK".
