Best double buggy for toddler and newborn

Any you would recommend? I prefer side by side rather than tandem, not too bulky, folds down easy, not too £££ (although would consider buying second hand)

I liked the look of the cosatto to and fro duo but the reviews aren't great and it's quite pricey.

Open to all suggestions!!

Bump

The out and about nipper looks pretty reliable.

Does anyone have one? How is it for folding and storing in a car boot? Can a newborn go into it without the bassinet?

I had a mountain buggy double. Fitted through doors, was flat when folded. Loved it because it was still light to push with a newborn, a toddler and the pre-schooler sat on the footrest, and loads of shopping! The seats were hammock style but laid totally flat, so I would just snuggle dd2 up on her cosytoes.

Hello. We had the Joie Aire Twin. It was suitable from birth and was just right for our newborn and just two year old. Easy to fold up and went in our boot (we have a big car though). Happy shopping op :)

I tried nipper in john lewis few years back when I needed double for baby and the toddler. By this day I regret not getting one. It was light and comfortable. I instead ended up with bulky phil & teds. I could only imagine that they got even better now.

I've not heard anyone give a bad review on the nipper - think we'll go for a second hand one of those.

Thanks for all the help!

I would second the Joie Aire Twin, I made the v costly mistake of buying a Bugaboo Donkey - I hated it, it was (obviously) very expensive and my toddler (16 months when DD2 arrived) was really uncomfortable in it. When I changed to the Joie they were both so much more comfortable, although I think for a newborn it would need some sort of extra padding / seat insert.

The out n about was amazing. We loved it. It steers with one hand even with a newborn, a toddler and a prechooler perched on the footplate. It was light and easy to fold. I can honestly say it was the most useful piece of baby equipment we owned. I actually miss it!

And it does go in boot easily, and we never had a newborn insert, just padded with blankets, buggy liner.

I love my out n about little nipper (4wheels not three). My toddler preferred it as the seats were less bucket shaped. They are really light to steer.

The only downside for me was that I find it hard to adjust the seat recline on the go. I need the children out if it.

I bought the bassinet second hand off ebay. They only last 8-12 weeks but I liked being able to see baby easily.

Iv just bought the britax b-agile double buggy for 217 quid off boots it seemed a really good bargain. Iv not used it yet as baby isn't due till Christmas but my toddler looks really comfy in it. I was going to get the city mini ft double but it was about £700 so pretty steep in comparison. I doubt my toddler will tolerate the buggy much longer than a year or so so it seemed like a waste to spend so much. I'd love to hear anybodies experience with the B-agile though.

Boots also had double nipper on sale not sure if they got it still.

SleepForTheWeek · 12/08/2017 21:23

I've bought a second hand nipper and a second hand p+t cocoon to go in it for DD2.

Can't wait for it to arrive next week!
