Help please, I don't know which buggy I need??

Hello, I am hoping to go to buy a buggy this weekend, but am completely overwhelmed by the choice, and was hoping for some honest advice please.

I am having a baby in Nov, and will need a buggy and travel system. (This is our first child)

(Stupid question, are buggies, prams and pushchairs all the same thing? And how is a carrycot different?)

My requirements:

Large/extra large storage for shopping etc
Quiet hood
Fairly small folding for fitting into car boot
Possibility of adding a second seat if we have another child later
Able to fit into car, preferably into isofix base and not held with seatbelt
Able to be used in country lanes/bumpy terrain
Easy to fold, Don't mind if it comes apart to fold, or folds as one piece, either/or is ok
Not too heavy

Budget- around £600-£700?

Please can I have any suggestions of buggies that match these requirements, and any advice on which buggies to go for/avoid, and why.

I would like to have an idea of what I would like before I get railroaded into buying something at the weekend that doesn't totally suit us.

Many thanks in advance.
Smile

Uppababy vista 2015

If the second seat isn't so important then there are lots more options, but if you want something that converts to a decent double then the Vista is your best bet I reckon

There is a new 2017 version coming out, I don't know what the differences are

Agree on vista, we love ours

Baby jogger city mini gt with maxi cozy car seat adapters, I've had loads of buggies until I found this one.

I was having a look at the vista, and a few people in reviews have mentioned that the wheels have been causing some issues? That they were a little wobbly? I do think it looks like the buggy we are after, ticks all the boxes. Thanks for your advice

Haven't come across a wobbly wheel issue personally.

I used to have to take one off to get it in my old car and never noticed wobbliness

Thank you for your replies. The vista looks perfect in every way except for the price...it'd be over £1000 for the buggy, car seat and car base?
Seems rather a lot!

Has anyone got any reviews of these?

Look out for deals.

We bought it when very were doing 20% for new customers

2015 version likely to be on offer since the 2017 is out. A quick google brings offers for vista 2015 incl carrycot and car seat (but not base) for £700

Vista is great but is not small in a car boot!

You need to push a few before you decide. How easy it is to push will vary on your height plus if the handlebars are adjustable etc.
I'd add that I rarely put the car seat on the pushchair frame for example because if it's really sunny or rainy I'd rather have the protection from the pushchair seat/bassinet hoods. I wouldn't make having a 'travel system' a big factor as a result. If you will use your car a lot (which I don't) and only do short walks, eg popping into a shop from a car, you might feel differently.

Most travel systems have a few compatible car seats too so you can shop around for that element separately.
