compact lightweight reversible pushchair - is it really just one choice - bee?

Hi . I'm already starting the eighth month of my pushchair research. ... and I'm running out of time!

I know exactly what I want but I don't think such pushchair exists....

  1. Must be lightweight (below 9 kg, ideally less) and compact (must be narrow and have small footprint)
  2. Must have reversible seat (not just handle or only for newborns) (I love babyzen yoyo but it doesn't have that)
  3. Must be very easy to push and turn with one hand (so can't have two handles)
  4. Must be suitable from birth
  5. The handle needs to be low as I'm only 5'1 (again, I love babyzen yoyo but it doesn't have that)
  6. It would be great if it folded compact
  7. Reasonable basket

Is it really only bugaboo bee and icandy raspberry ticking these boxes? Can you think of anything else that I can research?

Hello,

We've noticed this thread is quite old now, and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing prams and pushchairs, here's our round up of the best pushchairs on the market right now and what to look out for when buying one.

Hope that helps! Flowers

I think am going to order the easywalker mini frame from mothercare website which should be the same as mosey (I hope so) and it is now half price which helps.
But I've been wondering if I can order the mosey's fabrics separately, instead of the Mini black colour pack? I managed to find the hood only rather than the whole pack in the colour I like (dubai sand). Does anyone know if it is possible to use the pushchair without the liner that comes normally with the hood?

if you were choosing, would you choose bee3 or mosey/mini?

I'm a five foot two weakling with a dodgy back and hips (cantuse a sling they are so bad) and I have no problem lifting it.

Ok, so I ordered a Mini to try it at home and.... I don't like it :-(
But I know it's just me - my husband thinks it's a great pushchair (even though as a mechanic he doesn't like Mini cars), and he is a very good pushchairs critic, trust me!

So the pushchair is great but it just doesn't seem to be for me, it feels way too heavy... I can't imagine myself taking it up and down the steps, and I live in a city of stairs... Not mentioning lifting it to the car boot or on the bus with a baby, shopping and everything else...

So it looks like I'm back where I started, i.e. with the Bee. I'm still not sure about the bee plus wobbliness, and bee3 is just too expensive, even second hand. Should I go back to the original bee (pre-2010), the same as I sold less than a year ago (as I couldn't find accessories for such an old buggy)? Really???

And I'm already 33 weeks today.... :-(

AND I don't think it's possible to get the Mini back to the original packaging...... ;-(

Have you considered mountain buggy swift?
9.1kg
Good wheels 10 inch
Compact in size
Adjustable handle
Buy the carrycot and it converts to a parent facing seat
Main seat can be used from newborn without carrycot

We have a second hand bee plus and it's great. It is a bit wobbly feeling but lovely to push and still pushes nicely with my 3.5yr old in it (even one handed). The raincover is easy to fit and keeps her warm and dry even on our walks along beach in Scottish rain.

I wouldn't discount it, we only used it from 1.5 but if we have a second I'll probably use it from birth as the cocoon looks so cosy and comfy.

I love the icandy strawberry 2, I'm looking for all the things you are and this ticks all the boxes

Scotianka - by no means an expert but we looked at loads today in Mothercare and I was really impressed with the flexibility of the Egg - v robust and you can flip the pushchair seat and baby carrier to face you. Tried doing everything one handed and seemed ok. Frame folds easily but seemed a bit heavy. Fine for quick bus manoeuvre I think but not if you expect to have to carry for about. And wheels feel solid and able to deal with bumpy pavements. Handle is adjustable for height too.
