Recommendations for strollers for holiday

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a lightweight stroller, that's compact, easy to manoeuvre,has largest basket/net thing underneath that's not mega pricy for holidays & perhaps school runs in the future.
Read so many reviews & head whirling with it all.

I used the Joie Mirus for hols; has a large hood so good sun cover, is very light, so can carry one handed and lies flat for sleeping.

Joie mirus is fab but the handle is very very short so it's hard to push

Oh, I don't find it short?! I'm 5ft5 too so nor short myself. It is shorter if you have it parent facing but I don't so perhaps that's it?!

I have it parent facing - it's far too short (I'm only 5 foot 2 as well.) it's a shame because of it was a tiny bit longer it'd be great

What about a second hand Quinny Zapp? They are amazingly easy to push (unlike my Maclarens etc.) and fold up small enough to go in the overhead locker. I wouldn't use anything else for holidays now.

Have it facing the other way,it's fine then! I thought it was perfect for hols and I leave it in the boot now for little shopping trips etc. A bargain at £80!

I like the look of Joie mirus seems a good price. People have commented on catching your feet in the wheels while in rear facing mode has any of u found this?
Also is it standard or scenic one u recommend?

How did you find the steering when in rear facing position?

It's brilliant, steered awful in parent facing though because swivel wheels are then at the back! DD is 1 now so hadn't parent faced for donkeys so it's not a problem for me.

Its really light and I can put it up one handed whilst I hold DD, sling it in the car easily etc and I like that it goes really flat so she can sleep comfily.

I think it's a cracking little stroller, and when DC3 comes I think I'll get the double for leaving in the car too

I got used to the funny steering quite quickly - you just have to steer from he back like a shopping trolley...but I catch my feet in the back wheels because the handle is so darn short. Ds hates forward facing so we are stuck!

Apart from that it is a really nice stroller - very sturdy but light, comfy, nice recline, decent hood. the build quality is much better than you'd think for the price. It's light, it folds easily and with one hand.
I'm actually trying to find a handle extender ( anyone?) because it's just that that is stopping me using it much.
