Sheepskin liner vs footmuff for Bugaboo bee

I'm confused! FTM and I'm trying to decide between a fleece liner or a footmuff. Advice from those who've done this before would be much appreciated

I have found a Felhof sheepskin footmuff at Baababy which apparently will fit the Bee 3 (many won't) but it costs a fortune so I want to get it right. The alternative is just a liner from Bowron or John Lewis (much less at £50)

My question is - is it really cold enough to need a full sheepskin footmuff ??(we're in London, not Scottish highlands :-) My baby seems relatively warm generally so worried I would smother him unnecessarily with a fleece. But I don't want to buy a liner and then realise in a months' time that I really do need a full footmuff as well to help with Winter rain etc, as that will end up costing as much in the long run.

Help please?

We use our (mothercare) lamb fleece liner in the summer, as it helps stop her getting sweaty. But last week I switched to our footmuff. You do really need something to enclose their bottom half I think- just a blanket over is a bit hit and miss as can fall off and the wind can get through it.
I don't think you'll need a full sheepskin footmuff for south of England. Remember as babies are so small they don't need as much padding us as to keep warm- eg we use a 2.5tog sleeping bag for our DD but we sleep under 10 tog duvet.
I've got a basic footmuff made of a couple of layers of polyester fleece with a nylon / waterproof outer so I don't usually bother wth a rain cover. DD seems so cosy in it. (Cheap cos I couldn't choose which expensive one to get!) I honestly think DD might get too hot in a thicker one esp as she's a real wriggler, but then full sheepskin should be breathable I suppose?

We are in london and purchased a felhoff muff from baa baby too. It keeps our baby very warm and toasty, perhaps too warm at the moment, but it will be great for winter. Also the top zips off completely so you have a liner for the summer.
The quality is amazing and it sheds very little fibre.
I highly recommend it, he sleeps like a dream in it, I wish we purchased ours earlier!
Good luck!

thanks both and sorry for delay in replying. I bought the Felhof one and it was gorgeous - but I had to return it as it just seemed to be too thick and there was little room left in the pram for the baby to grow (he's 'big boned' ;-)

I went for the John Lewis sheepskin and it's great for now, he seems to love it. I realise I will need to buy a footmuff soon, but don't think we will need a fleece one after all
