Hello, my name is Sarah-I'm just new. I'll be honest, I'm not a mother, I'm a student engineer looking for some information about prams, buggies and car seats, and I wanted to speak to the people who know best. I will try and get a survey going some time soon, if I can, but at the moment I'm just looking to discuss if anyone's got a spare minute-I know you'll all be busy.
Anyway, I'm looking to find out how you find the prams, buggies and car seats you use. Do you like them? And what would you want to add to them/change about them? I noticed a lot of pram/buggy wheels can be quite sticky- has anyone found one that's easy to turn? And how do you find using prams and buggies on public transport? Parents, carers, grandparents etc-anyone welcome to chip in, I'm be delighted to hear from you and discuss.
I hope this is not completely out of order, I don't want to inconvenience anyone!
Thanks in advance
Sarah

Id spend about £500 or less on a 3 in 1 with a car seat and a base or separate car seat that stays locked into the car anything over that is extortionate and purely for the profit of the manufacturer

Hi Wonderwho,
Thanks very much for your input! The height adjustment is a big thing- my team and I took a trip to John Lewis and were surprised at how poor the capacity for handlebar adjustment was. The bike attachment is a great idea- we are currently looking at developing attachments to allow customization for individual users' needs, so it's good to know that these are things that people would buy.
Thanks again

Hi Tfoot75, thanks so much for your help!
I love the Baby Jogger city mini (and i don't even have kids!). My team had a shot of it when we were at John Lewis and its fantastic! I was being a bit of an anorak but the motion is so smooth and the turning on it is fabulous- you can get a real tight turn on that thing! We didn't get a chance to try folding it, but you say it's not too bad? But maybe a bit fiddly if it was just one of you and your child?
A lot of buggies don't seem to fold well with things in the storage bag- that's another thing we're interested in looking at.
Thanks again

hi jamesblake7,
Thanks for your input! A few folks here have said that the icandy raspberry is very good.
Is the look quite important? (anyone cane answer!) The icandy is a lovely looking pram. And the steering is very good- I had a go at pushing that one as well :)
thanks again

Thanks Warriorsoftheworld, We are aiming to design a 3 in 1 device at around the £400 mark but provide a range of add ons if people wanted to purchase them

Hi everyone,
Thanks again so much for all your help- I really appreciate it :)
Another quick(ish) question. We have a very rough concept for the type of product we want to develop, but I'd appreciate some initial feedback if that's ok?

We're going for a highly adaptable product, which allows the customer to purchase extra items if they wish. The main product will be a 3 in 1 sort of thing at approx £400. However, our slant is this:
We want the product to be able to be used by anyone. So it would be designed with less able bodied (for example older users with joint problems) users in mind (so it could have easy grip handle bars, one handed folding mechanism, adequate height adjustment, good maneuverability etc) with the capability of being adapted for wheelchair use- through the purchase of an adapter.
My question is : Would you still buy this product (which works as a normal pram/buggy just slightly adapted) even if you didn't have any illness/disability?
Any views would be welcome!
thanks again
Sarah
