Pram doesn't fit in car!! which stroller/buggy?

My sister gave me her silver cross pram/travel system. She had the same car as me a few years ago so thought it would be fine. Turns out the chassis wont go in the boot.

So, i thought i would get a stroller/buggy type thing.

Any recommendations on one that can be used from birth, is able to fit in a small boot and doesn't cost the earth?

The boot is not wide enough - chassis is 4 wheeled and wheel to handle is too large for the width of the boot.

How small is your boot? What car do you drive?

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/08/2015 05:53

Its a rover 25, 3 door.

Thanks frusso That won't work as even with the handle folded the wheel to handle size is bigger than the width of the boot.

I really need to get something else, was hoping for some suggestions.

I don't want another full pram/travel system, just a stroller/buggy type thing. I use a sling quite a bit.

We've been happy with the OBaby Atlas as a light, cheap stroller (has lasted nearly 6 years too). Think it's from birth (goes very flat anyway) and has a good rain cover. We had to fit in a small boot when on holiday, and it did slanted diagonally (one end up IYSWIM)

The main requirement is that it fits in the car :-)

Would like it to be able to parent face. Leaning towards 3 wheels - think more likely to fit?

I live really but have the silver cross for walks. I also have horses that i go to daily - currently using a sling for that. Although might need to park DS in a pushchair at the stables in future.

Really want it for when going out, into town etc.

I can fit the graco evo mini in the football behind he passenger seat. It fit in my Ford focus boot fine but I think it must be quite small as I can't any of my other prams behind the seat easily. I also really rate the evo mini, it's great around town and shops and folds so easily, lies flat for newborn and the hood and basket are great. It isn't an all terrain buggy as wheels are small so if your stables aren't too flat it might not be ideal. If I was buying a lightweight buggy I would consider the joie litetrax, it's such an easy fold and can get 3 and 4 wheel versions.

Obviously not football, but footwell! !

What sort of shape is your boot?

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/08/2015 18:44

Thank all, i have read good things about the graco evo. I might get something second hand for the stables. Probably a visit to a mothercare or kiddicare is in order to check out what's available.

The boot is kind of......trapezium shaped i think! Wider right at the back with a narrower bit in front of the seats where the wheel arches jut in.
